Shabbat May 27, 2017
Shabbat Shalom!
This week we went to see the one night only showing of IN OUR HANDS: THE BATTLE OF JERUSALEM , and it was phenomenal! It portrayed the epic battle, including the decisions behind it, and the personalities that made it happen. Also, it chronicled the history that led up to the 6 Day War, that changed the Middle East forever. Just as importantly, it laid out the Biblical basis for Jerusalem , not just as the capital of a noted and restored Israel, but as the CITY OF THE GREAT KING! Hopefully, for those who were not able to see it, it will be released to a more widespread audience, as it is a “must see” for all of the body of Messiah! Interestingly, the theater was full and it was a Tuesday! There will be a encore showing on June 1st so check a theater near you!
We have been sharing with you all for a while about this coming weekend: we will be welcoming Bill Bullock, The Rabbi’s Son, to be with us Shabbat, May 27th, for our morning service at 10:30am, as well as in the afternoon, from 2-5pm. You will not want to miss this service, and the profound truths illuminated in Torah, and available for us today! Invite friends, especially those who have never attended a Messianic Shabbat service, and experience what it must have been like 2000 years ago when the Ruach HaKodesh, blew His breath on a bunch of Jewish believers in Jerusalem, and the world was changed! All are invited to join us after the morning service for a potluck Oneg, fellowship, and Midrash. Bring your favorite dish and enough to share! Remember, we are a Messianic congregation so be sensitive to those who follow the Biblical dietary requirements.
10 Days Together, an initiative of prayer for our city, nation, and Israel, is taking place between Thursday, May 25th, and culminating on Sunday, June 4th, with a citywide gathering of congregations at Denver’s Central Park! The dates, times, and locations of the various meetings are on our website. The gathering at Central Park on the 4th, will be from 10am-4pm, there will be hot dogs (till they are gone!), so also bring other foods, water, suntan lotion, and a real desire for fun, fellowship, music and dance!
As Rav Shaul (the apostle Paul) says in 1 Thessalonians 5: “REJOICE ALWAYS, PRAY WITHOUT CEASING, GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES; FOR THIS IS THE WILL OF GOD IN YESHUA THE MESSIAH FOR YOU!”
HE IS ON THE MOVE, WE NEED TO BE ON OUR KNEES!
Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!
