Shabbat April 26, 2025
/Shabbat Shalom!
It has really been a wonderful Passover and Resurrection season! As we have shared, Millie and I and many of you were leading or participated in several Seders and some very special events in the last few weeks. These appointed times are called Mo’adim in the Scriptures which are rehearsals for our gathering together in God’s Kingdom for eternity, with Yeshua our King ruling and reigning after conquering death, hell and satan and wiping away all our tears, and us enjoying His presence forever! Wow, what a hope we have IN HIM, both in our present circumstances and in our future promises in eternity. In this time of ‘counting the Omer’, remember that Yeshua has gone before us as the First Fruits, and we will certainly follow after Him, so be encouraged in the midst of whatever struggle you are in today!
This Shabbat April 26th we of course will be meeting at The Dwelling Place at 11am. Our address is 16800 W.9th Ave Golden, 80401. I will be sharing an important message on Establishing God’s Promises, that will have some very practical application in the midst of waiting for God’s promises to come to pass in our lives. Sometimes, I find myself questioning “Father, did you really say …”? What I am learning is that there is a CONTENDING for what God has said and promised. So come with an expectation that He will encourage you with this message! As always, there will be a potluck oneg following the service, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP! There are some great conversations that take place as we break bread together. There are some very important community events taking place that I want to share with you:
- This Sunday April 27th from 2-4pm will be DENVER HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE at Babi Yar Park, 10451 E.Yale Ave, Denver 80231. We have participated for many years in this event so we will remember the 6 million Jews who were exterminated and say “NEVER AGAIN”!
- On Tuesday May 6th at 6:30pm, Stories of Anti-Semitism is sponsoring “WE WON’T BE SILENT”, an event uniting Non-Jewish allies with their Jewish neighbors to learn, grieve, and fight anti-semitism together. It will be at DCSD Legacy Campus, 10035 Peoria Str. Lone Tree, 80134. If you would like to volunteer for this event, please let me know!
It has been a busy time for many of us but I want to ask you to continue to pray for those in our Congregation who need healing in their bodies, wisdom on important decisions, and loved ones to come into a relationship with Yeshua! Press into the Lord with prevailing prayer and pray in the Spirit at all times!
Many of you have asked how you can donate to Or Chaim:You can give online at:https://www.or-chaim.com
