Or Chaim-Light of Life
Genesis 1:1-5, Day One of creation, “God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there as light.” (This “light” is different from the lights created on Day Four in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night (the sun, moon, and stars), and that are to be “for signs and for seasons and for days and years” - the beginning of time and God’s calendar.)
Isaiah 60:19-20, “No longer will you have the sun for light by day, nor for brightness will the moon give you light; but you will have the LORD for an everlasting light, and your God for your glory. Your sun will no longer set, nor will your moon wane; for you will have the LORD for an everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will be over.”
John 1:1-5, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning, All things came to be through Him, and without Him nothing made had being. In Him was life, and the life was the light of mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not suppressed it.”
John 8:12, “Yeshua (Jesus) again spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.’”
Colossians 1:12-20, “...giving thanks to the Father for having made you fit to share in the inheritance of his people in the Light. He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of His dear Son.
It is through His Son that we have redemption - that is, our sins have been forgiven. He is the visible image of the invisible God. He is supreme over all creation, because in connection with Him were created all things - in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, lordships, rulers or authorities - they have all been created through Him and for Him. He existed before all things, and he holds everything together.
Also He is head of the Body, the Messianic Community - He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He might hold first place in everything. For it pleased God to have His full being live in His Son and through His Son to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace through Him, through having His Son shed His blood by being executed on a stake.”
James 1:17, “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.”
1 Peter 2:9, “You are a chosen people, the King’s cohanim (priests), a holy nation, a people for God to possess! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
Revelation 21:22-22:5, “I saw no temple in the city, for ADONAI, God of heaven’s armies, is its Temple, as is the Lamb. The city has no need for the sun or the moon to shine on it, because God’s Sh’khinah (glory) gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. Its gates will never close, they stay open all day because night will not exist there, and the honor and splendor of the nations will be brought into it. Nothing impure may enter it, nor anyone who does shameful things or lies; the only ones who may enter are those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”
For the Non-Jew
Torah reveals the Light of Life (Or Chaim), Yeshua (Jesus), before time. John, Paul, James, and Peter all had this foundational reference point for understanding the Deity and Authority of Yeshua!
Genesis 1 explains Yeshua as the “Light of the world”. It also explains Yeshua as the “Light of Life”. the Torah and all the Scriptures are very literal as well as spiritual!
John had incredible understanding; perhaps the most detailed of all the Apostles about the Sovereignty of Yeshua and the Creation revelation.
The Light of Life in Genesis is the same Light of Life in Revelation!
The Light of Life before time is the same Light of LIfe when time ceases!
Yeshua and the Father (ADONAI) are Light! They are One! (Gen 1:26, Deut 6:4-5, Rev 21:22-22:5)
For the Jew
This explains the “light” that was before the sun, moon and stars. It also explains the plurality of HaShem in creation, “let us make man in our image”! (Gen 1:26)
The Light on Day One is the Messiah, Yeshua, the Lamb of God. The one perfect Pesach (Passover sacrifice for all people, for all time! The Kippur (Atonement) is complete just as Isaiah prophesied would happen. (Isaiah 53) If you believe this, your name is written in the Book of Life!
The Light of Life (Or Chaim) in Genesis is the same Light of Life that rose from the dead and was seen by His Jewish followers!
The Light of Life before time is the same Light of Life that Yochanan (John) envisioned and prophesied of and is the same Light of Life that the prophet Isaiah wrote about!
Yeshua and HaShem are the Light! They are One! (Gen 1:26, Deut 6:4-5, Rev 21:22-22:5)
