Shabbat 9/28/2019

Shabbat Shalom!
This weekend we enter into the season of the Fall Feasts of The Lord! We have been in a time of introspection, rending our hearts and asking God to show us where we are “out of alignment.” On this Sunday evening September 29th at 6:30pm, we will enter into YomTeruah, The Day of Blowing of Shafarot, where we turn from introspection to expectation. Our expectation of the soon return of Yeshua, the King of Glory as we enter into the 10 days of Awe between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur. All are invited to come up to “the mountain” to celebrate this wonderful season, so bring your shofar and be prepared to worship the king and be reminded of what the sound of the shofar represents! On this Shabbat, September 28th, I will be sharing a message about what this season is all about, and how it is relevant to all that is happening in the world around us. Many of our ladies will be involved in the Women’s retreat from 9/26-9/28, so will not be with us for our Shabbat service. Men, you are not left out! We are invited to join with Gateway On Mt. Zion Church for their Men’s retreat on Friday, 9/27 from 10am-12:30pm, with a free afternoon and then we will welcome Erev Shabbat at 6:30pm, followed by a delicious BBQ dinner of brisket and chicken! The dinner will be followed by an evening session. The speaker is Dave McDaniel of Men Of Issachar, a ministry of Aglow International. He is an engaging speaker with a heart to see men walk into their complete identity! There will be another meeting on Saturday evening at 6:30pm. The cost for this retreat is only $20, but don’t worry if you don’t have the money, just let me know and come and enjoy!

WE WILL HAVE A POT-BLESS ONEG FOLLOWING OUR SHABBAT MORNING SERVICE, SO REMEMBER TO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STICK AROUND FOR FELLOWSHIP. THERE WILL BE HEBREW CLASS AT 9AM AND TORAH CLUB AT 3PM.

As you can see this an event-filled season, with special services for not only Yom Teruah (Rosh HaShana) but also a Yom Kippur Kol Nidre service on Tuesday October 8th at 7pm on the mountain, and we will break the fast together on October 9th at 6:30pm. The Break Fast and closing of Yom Kippur will be at the Larsen home, 117 S.Rogers Way Golden, 80401. This will be a pot-bless dinner, so we will be letting you know of dishes to bring. We will celebrate Erev Succoth together on the mountain on Sunday evening October 13th at 6:30pm. We are working on getting a succah to put up, so we can decorate it, worship in it and take up a Final Harvest offering for the Lord! If anybody has expertise in building a portable succah from scratch, we would love to utilize your skills!
Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!
