Shabbat June 13, 2020

SHABBAT SHALOM, MISHPACHA!
I have been struck by two words that The Lord speaks in Revelation 18, “COME OUT …!” He goes on to explain what we are to come out from. As I have said several times in the last few months, there is an urgency in my spirit and my whole being that the time for being alert and paying attention to the signs of the times, and the Word of God is now! The TRUE BRIDE is being awakened and there is a call to “wash our robes” and make haste out of a world system that is growing darker and uglier every day. I will be bringing a message this Shabbat entitled “Dueling Brides”, and we will explore how we are to be a consecrated Bride to the One who loves us with an undying love! It has not been an easy message to do, as I sense we are at an inflection point for the Ecclesia (church), and we don’t really have an option (well, we do, but it would be tragic) to go back to the “status quo” or the “new normal”.

We are still not at a place where we can re-start our potluck Oneg yet. However, weather permitting, it is fine to bring a picnic lunch and sit outside at the tables and have lunch with each other. Again, please remember to follow the guidelines that have been laid out:
-If you are ill or have a fever PLEASE STAY HOME AND WATCH OUR LIVE-STREAM
-If you are at high risk due to age or pre-existing conditions, use wisdom if you are to come and please wear a mask
-Face masks/coverings for others are recommended but not required
-Please use upstairs restroom and avoid going downstairs
-Please sit at a safe distance from others, unless you are a family unit
-Avoid physical contact as much as possible
-Please be considerate and loving to one another!

As I have mentioned, I trust you to monitor your own behavior and to honor each other. We are having the building thoroughly cleaned after our services, as the Sunday church is also doing the same. Honestly, this has been a challenging time for all of us, first the pandemic and economic shutdown that has impacted all and now, just as we were beginning to reopen, we have disorder and chaos in the streets that has further divided our nation. We need to come together as the people of God, to “humble ourselves and pray and seek His face” and cry out for Heaven’s solutions at this hour!
We hope to see you on Shabbat!
Blessings and Shabbat Shalom,

Shabbat June 6, 2020

Shabbat Sholom!

Stop and take a breath, quiet your soul and think back over the last several months. Who would have even contemplated a virus that completely shut down the global economies, all travel in and out of cities and nations and even out of our own home. Who would have imagined all public gatherings curtailed and even churches closed for regular services. On top of this, as we slowly began to return to some sense of “normalcy” we all witnessed a horrific murder of a man that has led to unprecedented anger and violence in our nation’s cities! Our hearts are saddened and many people have too many questions and no answers. BUT GOD …! These last months have compelled me and many others to look up and cry out to the King of Kings and ask for His love, wisdom and strength as we pursue our Kingdom mandate to rule and reign in a world system that hates God and His children! I have been looking at the words of Yeshua in Matthew 24 as He describes the end times and what will and must take place. In verse 21, He says “For then there will be great trouble, such as has not happened since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.”  Again, I want to encourage all of us to quiet our souls in the midst of all this craziness and meditate on all the promises of the Holy One “AND TO KNOW THE LOVE OF MESSIAH WHICH SURPASSES KNOWLEDGE, SO YOU MAY BE FILLED UP WITH ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD!”

This Shabbat, June 6th, “D-Day” as it has been known for the last 76 years, Father has given me an important message on how to experience rest in the midst of chaos. As we have been removing stones over ancient wells, this week we will look at “a Place of rest” as we looked at “a Day of rest” a few weeks ago. The Father, from the beginning has always given us a strategy of how to experience Shalom and His presence as we fulfill His purposes, and we vividly see it represented by two trees in a garden. This is an important and timely message for the Body!

AGAIN, WE WANT TO ENCOURAGE YOU TO BE RESPECTFUL TO ONE ANOTHER DURING THESE EXTRAORDINARY TIMES: IF ILL OR IF YOU HAVE A FEVER, PLEASE STAY HOME; MAINTAIN DISTANCING AND SIT ONLY IN CHAIRS THAT ARE NOT RED; AVOID HUGS (THIS HAS BEEN DIFFICULT FOR ME!); FACE COVERINGS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES BUT NOT MANDATORY AVOID GATHERING AT ENTRANCE OR IN GROUPS.

Honestly, I don’t feel “called” to police or control our behaviors and we need everybody to help us in this. Please extend love and grace to each other and consider what is the highest and best for the other person BY LOVING YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF!

My prayer over you is that you would walk in HIS perfect peace in these days and that we will experience the passion of HIS heart for us during these troubled times.

THERE WILL BE NO ONEG BUT FEEL FREE TO BRING YOUR LUNCH AND ENJOY FELLOWSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER AT THE TABLES OUTDOORS WEATHER PERMITTING

Shavuot 2020 Bill Bullock

CHAG SHAVUOT SAMEACH!
That may seem like a mouthful, but it is the traditional blessing to say to one another at Shavuot (Pentecost)! We have entered into the Biblical season where we celebrate the giving of the 10 Commandments at Mt. Sinai and the outpouring of the Ruach HaKodesh in Jerusalem. A wonderful Mo’ed (appointed time) where God says “Come away with me, I want to reveal more of Me to you so you can represent me more accurately to the rest of creation.” Of course that is my paraphrase, but I believe it reflects His desire that we would walk in His ways which leads to life (walking out Torah), and to be empowered by His Spirit so we can represent Him and His kingdom (Outpouring of His Spirit)! What a season this has been since Passover (even before), where we have cried out for His direction, healing and His presence in the midst of extraordinary circumstances. I strongly sense that this new place we are is a place of great release, advancement of His kingdom and an urgency to share the Good News to a dark world!

This Shabbat, we will be celebrating the special feast with The Rabbi’s Son Bill Bullock! He is a wonderful friend of Or Chaim and always brings a passionate call to intimacy and consecration that provokes us but also encourages our hearts that are crying out for more of His presence! We would encourage you to invite your friends to hear Bill and he will also be sharing an afternoon session. After the morning service, we ask that you either bring a picnic type lunch as there are plenty of tables outside, or there are a few restaurants close by in Genesee and Bergen Park/Evergreen that you can get a quick bite and make it back for the afternoon session. WE WILL NOT HAVE AN ONEG IN THE FELLOWSHIP ROOM! Also, the sanctuary is set up in a way that we can safely adhere to “social distancing” but it will require all of us to be responsible to make it work! You will notice that every other row of seats has red tape on the back, PLEASE DO NOT SIT IN THESE SEATS. Please avoid congregating in groups, and around the entrance to the building and avoid hugging (I know it is difficult!). Use only the upstairs restroom and wash your hands and use sanitizer that is provided! Face masks are recommended but not required. Believe me, I am not a big “rules” guy, BUT I DO ASK THAT WE BE MINDFUL AND CONSIDERATE OF ONE ANOTHER AT THIS TIME WHEN WE MAY HAVE DIFFERENT UNDERSTANDINGS AND PREFERENCES. Let us show love and deference to one another without judgment or criticism, because WE WILL EXEMPLFY A CULTURE OF HONOR WHEN WE DO IT!

We want to encourage you to sign up on our Or Chaim Youtube link! If we have 100 subscribers we can have our own designated channel! One positive outcome of the Covid 19 crisis has been that we have been able to get the message of the Kingdom and One New Man that we proclaim at Or Chaim farther than the four walls of our sanctuary on the mountain! We look forward to seeing you this Shabbat!
Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Bill Bullock “The Rabbi’sSon”

Shabbat 5/23/2020

Shabbat Shalom!
I love Shabbat! I mean I really love Shabbat! Not just because it is commanded to observe, or because it is expected of me as a Congregational leader in a Messianic Jewish congregation, but because I want to enjoy and love what God loves! It is a Day and an attitude of rest where God says He will bless me if I choose to observe and remember! This week I sense from Father that we are to celebrate and enjoy Shabbat together and He has given me a message that will hopefully encourage and bring greater revelation and understanding of this special day. It doesn’t matter what you are going through or what the last three months of uncertainty and pain has brought, we have many reasons to rest, celebrate and thank our Father and worship our King Yeshua!

We are in the Biblical season of Counting the Omer, where we are anticipating and looking forward to a fruitful harvest and a fresh outpouring of His grace and goodness because our God has set cycles of life into His calendar in order to BLESS. Do we have an expectation of good things from the Father in due time, or are we going through the motions, wishing things will change but living like a victim in the mean time? Everything in my being is telling me that the “new wineskin” season we are in now will be a time of increased kingdom activity, release of specific callings and gifts and re-alignment of all of our priorities to be in “sync” with His purposes on earth. Over the last 2-3 months, many of us have been crying out to God for more of Him and at the same time, getting rid of the hindrances that keep us from being who He has called us to be! We are desperate for the “new wine” of His Spirit to fill us and launch us to be HIS KINGDOM AMBASSADORS FROM THE FRONT RANGE INTO WHATEVER AND WHEREVER HE CALLS US!

Remember, next Shabbat, May 30th, The Rabbi’s Son Bill Bullock will be with us all day as we celebrate Shavuot (Pentecost)! He is a good friend of Or Chaim and always brings an inspiring, passionate and loving message right from the Father’s heart to us! He will be with us in the morning service and will also be sharing after a lunch break in the afternoon. We are looking at the possibility of everyone bringing a picnic lunch and, weather permitting, meet outside at the picnic tables. Invite your friends as this will be a special time of impartation, and also the Aronsteins will be blessing us with an anointed telling of the book of Ruth in dance! Bill will be sharing at Castlewood Canyon Church in Franktown on Sunday, May 31st at 10am.
Remember, we want to keep in mind the guidelines we have laid out over the last weeks for meeting together. We so look forward to seeing you!
Blessings and Shabbat Shalom,

Shabbat 5/16/2020

Shabbat Shalom!

We have entered into a “strange” season. After 8 weeks of shut down and quarantine we are beginning to start up again. We are leaving our homes more often, some businesses are beginning to open and we can now find toilet paper more prevalent! I am a lifelong observer of trends in society, and in my many years on earth I have seen that fear is a powerful motivator and inhibiter. When this virus hit us, no one knew what it was, how deadly it was, and how we are to stop it. There was real fear. We shut everything down until we were able to get our heads around things and slow its spread. Now as it seems to be lessening in its severity and is maybe less deadly than originally thought, fear is inhibiting many from starting up again. I totally understand! There is so much conflicting and frankly contradicting information out there! As leaders in the body of Messiah, we are obligated and commanded to obey what we believe God is saying, and to walk it out BY FAITH

Last Shabbat was awesome! We had a “soft” reopening of services on the mountain. After much prayer and consulting with leadership and other church and congregation leaders we met together, maintaining distance, avoiding physical contact and basically honoring one another in how we related. After the service, cleaners came in to disinfect and do a deep cleaning, as this had been done before we met together. Here are the guidelines we are asking everyone to follow:

- if you are sick or have a fever, please do not come (services are being live-streamed on FaceBook)

- if you are in the vulnerable population over 60 yrs old and/or have pre-existing health issues, please stay home

- please bring a mask or face-covering, as they are recommended but not mandated to wear

- please enter and exit building from the front door, and avoid congregating in groups at the entrance

- avoid hugging and body contact (this can be difficult!)

- please use the upstairs restroom only and avoid going into the fellowship or classrooms downstairs

- wash hands and use hand sanitizer provided as often as possible

- finally, don’t judge others for coming or not coming to services!

This Shabbat, May 16th, as we celebrate together on the mountain, I sense that Father wants to re-open ancient wells of blessing! If we are a child of God, we are indeed grafted into the BLESSING OF ABRAHAM, and it is time to roll the stone away so as the water of the Spirit can flow freely! Shavuot is coming up in two weeks and we will be welcoming The Rabbi’s Son Bill Bullock on Shabbat, May 30th! He will be with us all day, so stay tuned for more details about his visit. Again, if you have any questions or concerns about our meetings, please contact Millie and I or those on the leadership team. We so look forward to seeing all of you “in person” as we worship, encourage and honor one another!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 5/9/2020

Today is the National Day of Prayer! Please remember to pray for our President and Nation...we do need it!

Spring has definitely sprung in Colorado! It’s absolutely gorgeous outside and the flowers and trees are beginning to bloom and bud.The winter of many people’s discontent is coming to an end. We are so excited about this new season that we are now in, not just the calendar season of Spring, but a season of Kingdom expansion and release! The ‘stay in place’ orders of the past two months are beginning to lessen, and things are gradually beginning to open up. Great News, we are opening up our Shabbat Service this week, May 9th, to have our congregational gatherings! We do want to encourage you to come, however we want to follow some general guidelines to comply with State and local directives that have been “encouraged”!
- If you are sick or have a fever PLEASE STAY HOME! This is a must!
- Please bring a facemask or cloth face covering, it is strongly encouraged to wear one by the CPHD- Please sit 6 feet away from others, except as a family unit who can sit together- Avoid hugging and close physical contact (that’s going to be really hard!) Elbow, hip hellos encouraged- Please enter the building in the upstairs foyer one person at a time- avoid using the downstairs area and use the upstairs restroom only cleaning up after yourself with the cleaner provided-use the hand sanitizer provided or bring your own What we are asking is to be personally responsible for yours and your families well-being! Please know that we totally understand if you are not comfortable attending Congregation at this time. We love you and will continue to stream on FaceBook Live and Zoom. We are a “Called Out” people, who love whole-heartedly and submit our lives to the God Of The Whole World, and choose not to walk in fear! However, we will walk in the wisdom of heaven during these crazy times. We will not be having our coffee and fellowship times following the service until further notice. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to contact our leadership team, or Millie and myself.Father has given me a message about HOW TO THINK LIKE A HEBREW! So, this is a time for celebration and worship, and to expect great release and re-alignment in the coming season!Blessings and Shalom,Stewart and Millie

Shabbat 5/2/2020

Shabbat Shalom!

I received an email from friends of many years the other day. They had watched our service on-line and as I prayed for folks to receive a greater level of authority in their walk and they reached out to receive it, some 1500 miles away, and she writes “we have literally felt an increase of authority and anointing since then!” God is moving in people’s lives! This last 6 weeks of “quarantine” has had us all on our knees crying out to God for healing, wisdom, revelation, Heaven’s solutions and personal soul searching and cleansing. I love how Father brings us into seasons, often times very suddenly, in order to bring re-alignment and re-focus. In over 40 years of walking with Yeshua, Millie and I have seen how He works in impossible situations always so that His purposes are brought about. Personally, I am excited and more committed to see the Kingdom go forth in power from Or Chaim into this region, the nation and into the nations! The conditions are such that people are more open to kingdom solutions than anytime in my lifetime. I don’t want a return to “normal”, but I want us to embrace the “new wineskin” that Father has led us into and see Him fill us, individually and corporately, with the “new wine” of His Spirit! This Shabbat, May 2nd, I will be sharing part 2 of a message I began last week on How to exercise Spiritual Authority in these days. We will explore the intrinsic nature of authority, which is to BLESS AND REIGN!

STARTING ON SHABBAT, MAY 9TH, WE WILL RESUME SERVICES ON THE MOUNTAIN! We have prayed fervently and consulted with State, local and health officials as well as other churches and congregations. We believe we can safely meet together and comply with guidelines that have been laid out, and insure sanitary precautions. Here is what we ask that everyone comply with: If you are not feeling well or have a fever, PLESE STAY HOME!; Please maintain “social distancing” by keeping approximately 6 feet apart, except as a family unit. We will only use the upstairs restrooms located in the lobby. Our ushers will insure their is no congregating at the entrance, and we ask that we not go downstairs into the classrooms or fellowship room and restrooms; Please bring a scarf or facemark as they are recommended but not required; WE WILL NOT HAVE COFFEE/ONEG/FELLOWSHIP TIMES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE; WE ASK THAT EVERYONE BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR PERSONAL ACTIONS, AS WE ARE ALL MATURE AND DESIRE THE HIGHEST AND BEST FOR EVERYONE ELSE!

We will continue to carry our services on-line on Facebook Live, for those unable to attend and for those who are out of the area. We will consider the Zoom option if we can but we will need a committed person(s) to take on these added functions. We are in a season of RELEASE, RE-ALIGNMENT AND KINGDOM EXPANSION! We want to see folks released into their gifting and callings. We want to see all of us being re-aligned so we are in position to be mobilized to do His will. It is a season when we will see His Kingdom go from THE FRONT RANGE OF COLORADO INTO THE NATIONS! As you can tell, I am excited about things!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 4/25/2020

Shabbat Shalom Family!

An old Beatles song entitled THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD kind of tells the story of where we are as a nation as we begin (hopefully) to get things going soon. Frankly, I’m ready to go now...however we don’t have the “green light” as of now to open fully but we can get creative and meet in groups of 10 or less at least six feet apart in different areas of the congregation as long as we meet with health and social distancing measures in place. We have plenty of room to do that.  If you feel led then let us know you want to come. If you are sick, please stay home and view via zoom or Facebook live. Please pray for wisdom for us as your Congregational leaders and also our local, state and national leaders at this crucial time! We will continue to have our on-line services and ministry but look forward to the day when we can see you face to face and hug you without social distancing!

This Shabbat, April 25th, I will be sharing an important message about HOW TO EXERCISE SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY IN TIMES OF SHAKING: SEATED WITH HIM! I want to encourage you to join us on FaceBook and Zoom because this word will help us navigate these perilous times. The Word of God is rich with wisdom and truth that will defeat any enemy, virus, circumstance or challenge we will ever face! Our on-line services have had an added blessing as we are able to reach people all around the world! Last week we were able to pray for some very dear friends in Kenya who pastor a church and an orphanage outside of Nairobi. Also, we have folks joining our services from Israel, Australia as well as many parts of the United States!

Again, please pray for us for wisdom because much of the information out there is not clear and at times conflicting. We as a leadership want to hear what Father is saying in the midst of many other voices! We love you all and look forward to “seeing” you on Shabbat! We will be sending you the access information for Zoom before Saturday. Hopefully you have already received it. If you have not in an earlier email please respond to this one so we can send it to you.

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom,

Stewart and Millie

Shabbat 4/18/2020

Shalom Family!

Here we are in “Day Whatever” of our national and world-wide Covid-19 shutdown! Actually it’s not a bad day to be locked in as we have about 6 inches of snow (and still counting) falling outside. Millie and I have developed our devotional and prayer time in our home as I'm sure you all have, with our focus being daily “Lord, what is on Your heart?” and proceeding from that point. We believe strongly that at this season between Pesach and Shavuot while Counting the Omer that God is moving in a big way and that His bride is being “stirred” in such a way that we can’t help but to “fix our eyes on Yeshua the initiator and perfecter of our faith” for Heaven’s solutions! We continue to pray Psalm 91 over all of you and as we have contacted folks in the last weeks, everyone seems to be doing well and looking forward to getting back together again. Our services on line are reaching literally all over the world and hopefully have been a blessing to many!

This Shabbat, April 18th, we will of course be on FaceBook as well as Zoom and we invite you to join with us shortly before 10:30am and be part of our service.

This week I will be sharing a timely message on “Counting The Omer”, and how significant it is during this season. It is so important at this extraordinary time to have a sense of urgency in our prayer not only for those who we know are sick, but also for those who have lost their livelihood and most urgently those who do not yet know Yeshuah as their eternal Hope! Both Millie and I worked in the employment and training field for many years before we were called into full-time ministry. We tried to help people find work to feed their families in the midst of recessions, inflation and government cut-backs and in those years we never witnessed such displacement as we have seen in the last month! Over 20 million have lost jobs in the last several weeks, that is insane! Yet, we know God’s promises are “Yes and Amen”, and that His purposes are being fulfilled in the earth today. We have been reading from the Book of Acts lately and are “blown away” at the level of faith the early believers walked in, and we know and are convinced that we have the same growing faith as they had 2000 years ago if we will only walk it out in the power of the RUACH HaKodesh and obedience to the Spirit of Torah in our lives with the signs and wonders following.

We want to encourage you that if you have a need of anything, a prayer request, or just need to talk with someone to call one of our leadership team and let us know how you are doing. We as elders and deacons are called to serve the body, teach the word, pray for the sick, and to watch over God’s flock. This is a time to reach out to each other and encourage one another and BE the family that HE has called us to be!

Thank you so much to those who gave to the House of Refuge Church and Orphanage in MLOLONGO Kenya! Pastor Sammy, Becky and the children were so blessed at the miracle of generosity that helped them with food, water, and electricity...the basic necessities of life. Hopefully they will join us on the zoom call and everyone will be able to meet part of our Kenya family.  They thank you from the depths of their hearts.

Shalom and Blessings,
Stewart and Millie

Shabbat Pesach Sameach Shalom!

Shabbat Shalom! The word that I have today is the theme of Passover: WHEN I SEE THE BLOOD, I WILL PASS OVER YOU (EX.12:13). As we are in the midst of Passover week with First Fruits coming up, we are ever aware of the power of the Blood that defeats every disease, plague, financial crisis and demon from the pit of hell that can come against us! We are taught throughout the scriptures that we defeat the enemy with the Blood by using God's Word, standing in faith, proclaiming in confidence and resisting the lies of Satan! There is much spiritual activity and “clutter” in the airwaves so it is crucial that we are taking advantage of the “stay at home” orders by inclining our ear to The Lord, resting in His finished work of the cross and re-examining our priorities. This Shabbat, April 11th, we again will be carrying our Or Chaim services on FaceBook Live and Zoom at 10:30am! As I have said many times over the last several weeks, God was not “blindsided” by Covid-19 or any of the disruption that is taking place. He uses times of crisis and shaking to awaken His Bride so that we will do what we are called to do, Preach the Kingdom and bring Heaven’s solutions to planet Earth! The message Father has given for this Shabbat is HOW TO WALK IN THE POWER OF THE BLOOD AT PASSOVER AND EVERYDAY. I am SO ready for us to start having our regular Shabbat services again! To actually see all of you and greet in person, encourage and love on people is something we all look forward to and it will happen again. But, I do not think everything will be “back to normal”, we are in a different season and God is bringing us into new territory. Shabbat 4/4/2020

Shalom Family!
I am quite sure that as you read this newsletter, you are in your own home and are probably feeling a bit antsy! For most of us, we are well into our second week of “stay at home” orders to stop the spread of Covid-19. You may be asking “what in the world is going on?” A worldwide pandemic, global economies at a standstill, and at least 10 million people are suddenly without work here at home. More than ever I am drawn to the promises of God in His Word to not worry or fear but to put all my trust in His covenant faithfulness and to encourage others in the same way! WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS! We are the “called out ones”, the “Kedoshim” of God!

We at Or Chaim Congregation are a strong community, even as we adjust to being a virtual “on-line” family. Our  weekly services are on FaceBook live as well as Zoom. Our leadership is in the process of checking in with all of you, encouraging and praying with all of you. We are also gearing up for Passover, albeit in our own homes, which is actually quite Biblical! Millie and I want to encourage you that if you have specific needs or requests for prayer, to contact one of our leadership team. If you are planning on having a Passover Seder in your home, please let me know and I will make sure to get however many Haggadah you will need. Our family will be videoing a Seder that you will be able to see on FaceBook on Passover, April 8th!

We want to invite you to join our Shabbat service this Saturday, April 4th at 10:30am on FaceBook at our Or Chaim Congregation page. If you are not a “friend”yet do a search and become our friend! We will also be doing Zoom and I have included the way to log on with this venue. We are doing our best to “connect”, seeing as these are days of great trial and challenges and we believe God will strengthen us bring us through! Here is the Zoom link:

We love you all and are continuing to pray Psalm 91 over you and your families! Be encouraged in Him and “linger” a bit longer in His presence than you did yesterday, worship Him passionately, and love one another!
See you in Shabbat!
Passover Blessings and Shabbat Shalom,
Stewart and Millie

We Are Here For You!

Shalom Family!Millie and I as well as the leadership of Or Chaim are praying that all of you are well during these extraordinary days! We are continuing to pray Psalm 91 and other powerful scriptures over all of you! I can imagine that many of you have had to adjust your “normal” activities quite a bit, as some areas of the metro area are under “stay at home” orders. Of course we don’t know how long this disruption will last and we know that quite a few of you have not been able to work and have lost significant income during this time. Please let us know if you need food or emergency supplies and one of our leadership team will try to assist you. Also, if you just need to talk to someone please just call one of us!Last Shabbat we were able to meet with you on FaceBook Live and we had a wonderful time! Jason Morris and Simon Obert were able to come over to our house and we were able to share some of our wonderful Torah service and enjoy incredible worship. Millie brought the Parsha of the week and many of you were able to join with us online and bring words of encouragement and words of praise to our faithful God! It was our hope and intentions that THIS SHABBAT, MARCH 28TH, WE WOULD BE HAVING OUR REGULAR SERVICE  ON FACEBOOK LIVE  STARTING AT 10:30AM AND LIVESTREAM FROM THE SANCTUARY...HOWEVER UPON WRITING THIS WE JUST RECEIVED NOTICE WE ARE ON A “STAY AT HOME” ORDER! WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO LOG ON THROUGH Facebook OR CHAIM CONGREGATION A FEW MINUTES EARLY THIS SHABBAT AND LET US KNOW YOU ARE JOINING US! IT WILL BE MILLIE AND I LIVE FROM OUR HOME TO YOURS WORSHIPPING OUR KING TOGETHER AND MINISTERING TO HIM. This is how we as a Congregation will be meeting for our Shabbat services until further notice. We are still the family or Mishpacha of God and even though we may not be able to meet together physically we will be able to minister to Yeshua and encourage each other in other ways! We will get through this together!I want to encourage all of you during this time of emergency to walk in the mindset of our Yeshua who moved in an “opposite mindset” of what the world walks in. The world says “be afraid”, Yeshua said “trust me, I have not given you a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind”! The world says ”hoard because you may not have enough For yourselves", Yeshua says “be generous and give to those who are in need” and He encourages us to “seek first the Kingdom” and everything we need will be provided!  As you continue to bring the Lord’s tithe to Him and your financial gifts and offerings which can be done on our website www.or-chaim.com, or you can mail checks to Or Chaim, 23696 Pondview Pl. Golden, 80401 you allow us to continue to help others here at home and those we support overseas!  I am reminded of how Yeshua walked in faith everywhere He went  He touched more lives than we can imagine because He did nothing or said nothing without the Father telling Him, He even went to a funeral and brought resurrection life!  This is our opportunity to shine and bring His Life into all and every situation we encounter whether in our home, online, in the grocery store or in prayer!Be Blessed and walk in His Shalom,Blessings and Shalom!

Shabbat Mar 14, 2020

Shabbat Shalom! In my 67 years of walking on planet earth, I have rarely if ever seen such fear affect this many people in so many various places in the world. At this point of writing over 120,000 people in the world have contacted the Coronavirus disease with about 1,500 here in the U.S. and about 38 people having died here as I write this. Is this serious? Absolutely! Shall we take precaution and be wise in what we do and where we go? By all means! However, as a leader in the local body and the Senior Leader of Or Chaim I want us all to take a deep breath, resist the temptation to fear and panic, reaffirm our hope and trust in Yeshua our Messiah, and cast all our anxiety upon Him because He cares for us! Abba has led Millie and I to pray Psalm 91 over the Congregation, ourselves and our family! He has called us to personalize this Psalm and put our names in the place of every pronoun and speak it out loud.I want to quote verses 9-10, “For you (you name) have made Elyon your dwelling, even Adonai, who is my (your name) refuge, so no evil will befall you nor any plague come near your (your name) tent.” This pandemic that is happening on a world-wide scale is real and dangerous but The Lord wants us to activate our faith in the fact that He is able to do "FAR BEYOND ALL THAT WE ASK OR IMAGINE” (Eph.3:20), and He will do it! As we have shared over the months and even recently, everything that can be shaken will be shaken but we as sons and daughters of Elyon are not to walk in fear as the world does rather we are to live as people who have a hope in a Deliverer and that makes us “peculiar”("strange, odd, unusual") and we do not act like everyone else! We are to walk I power, love and a sound mind. The root of the word PANIC comes from the Greek god PAN who caused humans “to flee in unreasoning fear!" God’s perfect love casts out fear. People have asked if we are having services this Shabbat. Yes! If you are not feeling well stay home or if you are uncomfortable meeting as a group you ask Father what you are to do and obey His voice. As of now, we have no plans to cancel any of our events, including Passover, which is scheduled for April 8th. This Shabbat, March 14th, we will continue our look at THE CROSS IN THE TANACH (how appropriate!) with an in-depth exploring of one of the most prophetic scriptures, Psalm 22 pointing to Yeshua’s sufferings on that Passover some 2000 years ago! WE WILL HAVE A POT-BLESS ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR THE FELLOWSHIP. We will also be having our Hebrew class and Torah Club as scheduled. I have mentioned about us joining together with Rez Anglican Fellowship this Friday evening at 6:30pm. It is still on! The address is 9250 E. Belleview Ave., Greenwood Village 80111. The evening will begin with a light supper followed by us welcoming the Shabbat, worship, and a teaching on the significance of the Tabernacle. The service will end at 9pm and all are welcome to attend! This is another great opportunity to declare our commitment to see Yeshua’s prayer of unity in John 17 come to fruition and at the same time proclaiming to this city that our God reigns here in the Denver metro area! So, let’s take the advise from the apostle Jacob (James) who says “…submit to God, resist the devil [fears, panic, deception etc.] and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” He also says “cleanse your hands”, so let’s take that advise and wash our hands in warm soapy water often! We love you all, and we want to say from our hearts that we will all get through this time of uncertainty and crisis by trusting our God because He is Good! Blessings and Shabbat Shalom, Stewart and Millie

Shabbat 3/5/2020

Shabbat Shalom!

With the festival of Purim just around the corner, we pause in the Biblical calendar to remember God’s covenant faithfulness as He protects His people no matter where thy are at. Also, we are inspired by the story of a young Jewish girl and her loving uncle who are used to exposed an evil plot of an anti-semitic monster, always remembering that God uses ordinary people in extraordinary times to do incredible things! We will be enjoying hamantashen (triangle-shaped filled pastries) after the service during our Oneg. On Saturday evening March 7th all are invited to Congregation Roeh Israel Congregation at 8556 East Warren Avenue, Denver 80231for a Purim play entitled "THE RETURN OF THE JEWDIE”, at 7pm. As you can tell from the title, this is going to be a fun evening! This is a free event and an opportunity to invite friends to hear the wonderful story in an entertaining way!

Next Shabbat, March 14thth, I will continue looking at THE CROSS IN THE TANACH, with an in-depth explanation of one of the most prophetic Psalms, chapter 22. I fall in love all over again with Yeshua every time I read about the horrible death our Messiah suffered that Passover some 2000 years ago, a death that I deserved! You may be wondering “what about this Shabbat?” This week our own Kent Brown will be sharing a message that Father has put on his heart! Kent is one of our deacons and teaches Hebrew every week and is such a gifted teacher! The presence of the Lord has been powerful in our midst, so I want to encourage you to come and experience Him in a real way! God is moving and speaking and I look forward to what He will do this Shabbat and what He is doing in our day. THERE WILL BE A POT-LUCK ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR WONDERFUL FELLOWSHIP! After Oneg, our dance team will be meeting to learn new dances for our Passover celebration and all are welcome to attend, no experience necessary!

Our annual Passover Seder will be held on Wednesday, April 8th at the Embassy Suites Hotel in the Stapleton neighborhood, so get your tickets now! You can go on to our website www.Or-Chaim.comand purchase your tickets. We encourage you to get tickets early because seating is limited and we usually sell out. This will be an awesome evening of re-telling the story of the remarkable deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt, and also worship of our Lamb who was slain and delivered us from the slavery of sin! Starting on Friday March 13th at 6:30pmand for the following 3 weeks, we will be gathering at Resurrection Anglican Fellowship to celebrate an Erev Shabbat service as we welcome in the Shabbat! It begins with a light supper of soup and bread followed by worship and a teaching on the Tabernacle. The address is 9250 E. Belleview Ave. Greenwood Village 80111.This is a joint celebration with their church and a great opportunity to see our city come into the Joh 17 One New Man unity we so desperately need!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat Leap Year 2/29/2020

Shabbat Shalom! We are officially entering a busy time as the Biblical calendar goes! Next week Purim starts, and we are already beginning to plan our Passover Seder. God is doing exciting things and the Kingdom is advancing, and at the same time forces of darkness are coming against us with fear of pandemics and anxiety about global markets and socialism. I find much comfort in the words of our Yeshua who said “Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in God; TRUST ALSO IN ME.” This Shabbat, February 29th, I will be sharing the second part of a message on THE CROSS IN THE TANAKH, as we focus in on what was prophesied and fulfilled in the lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world! WE WILL HAVE A POT-BLESS ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH AND STAY FOR FELLOWSHIP. Remember, Hebrew study is at 9am and Torah Club will be at 3pm, with Messianic dance right after the meal. You can see that Shabbat is a full day on the mountain! This Sunday, March 1st, the Colorado Messianic Women’s Fellowship will be having their quarterly gathering at the Koelbel Library, 5955 S. Holly St. Centennial 80121 between 1-4pm. All you ladies are invited, and this is a great opportunity to invite your friends and family to this special time of worship and encouragement! Our own Millie Lieberman will be sharing a wonderful and uplifting message! This Friday evening at 7pm at Church In the City/Beth Abraham we will be joining together with leaders and intercessors and lovers of God for the DENVER PRAYER AND IGNITE EVENT!Tim and Sandy Ravan will be special guests this evening and this is what they say about this event, “We believe God is taking His Church away from reactionary prayer to an even more effective place of praying into future events and strategic moves before they happen.” I believe that prayer and unity in the body of Messiah are crucial to see His purposes on planet Earth fulfilled in our lifetime! All are welcome to this special event so come on out and join with us.As mentioned, we are already in the midst of planning for our annual Passover Seder that will be taking place on Wednesday April 8th at 6:30pm! This year we will be having it at the Embassy Suites, 4444 North Havana Streetin the Stapleton neighborhood, just off Interstate 70. You can purchase tickets by going on the Or Chaim website and follow the promptings. If you don’t feel comfortable in buying tickets in this way, just contact Siri Crider to work out payment. This is going to be a wonderful evening of recounting the amazing Exodus of the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt, and celebrating the Passover Lamb as He delivered us from slavery from sin! This is a family event, so bring the children and also folks who have never experienced a Seder before! We will be served a wonderful meal, and will also enjoy great worship. We do want to encourage you to get tickets early as this annual event tends to sell out and seating is limited!Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!Stewart and Millie166 S Lookout Mtn RdGolden CO 80401

Shabbat Feb 22,2020

Shabbat Shalom! This has been a wonderful and jam-packed week, as Millie and I, along with the Larsen’s and the Rich’s attended the First Fruits of Zion conference in Orlando. It was entitled “MALCHUT 2020”, the term refers to “Kingdom”, and included revelationary teaching on the Kingdom of God and how we are to understand it and proclaim it in the world we live in. I was asked to bring a short report of our work into the Federal Correctional Institute in Lakewood. What an honor that night when me and Millie and Dr. Helene Dalaire whose vision this was, were presented with the Outreach Achievement award that evening! We all had a wonderful time  of fellowship with Torah Club folks from literally all over the world! This Shabbat, February 22nd, we will be continuing our study of our Biblical roots with a message entitled THE WORK OF THE CROSS IN THE TANACH. There is so much confusion and mis-information about the most transformational event in world history! We will walk through key passages in Isaiah 52-53, and see that what was prophesied hundreds years before Yeshua was not just so that we “can go to heaven!” I checked the weather and it’s going to be a beautiful day on the mountain! WE WILL HAVE A POT-BLESS ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR GREAT FELLOWSHIP. Passover is coming up on Wednesday April 8th! We will be celebrating our Seder this year at the Embassy Suites at Interstate 70 and Havana! Tickets are on sale now, so you can go to our Or Chaim website and purchase your tickets. This will be an incredible evening as we recount the amazing story of redemption of the Jewish people from Egypt. Also, we will enjoy a great meal and of course all are invited to this community event. We encourage you to get your tickets early as they usually sell out and tickets will not be available the night of the Seder. This Shabbat, we will be having our Hebrew class at 9am. Following our Oneg, David and Laura will be teaching Messianic dance and all are welcome to this. At 3pm, Torah Club will be held downstairs in the fellowship room. Ladies...CMWF QUARTERLY GATHERING March 1, 1-4 pm Sunday at Koelbel Library. Bring snack food to share! Blessings and Shabbat Shalom! Stewart and Millie 166 S Lookout Mtn Rd Golden CO 80401

Shabbat 2/15/2020

Shabbat Shalom!

Last Shabbat, despite the snow of the previous day we were blessed by Doug Hershey and had a wonderful day of being in the presence of the Holy One Of Israel! In the evening at the Larsen’s home, we had an impactful time of teaching with much discussion and great questions and we talked about our upcoming journey to the land in late summer. More details on this exciting initiative too follow!

This Shabbat, February 15th, I will continue on the theme of our BIBLICAL Foundation ROOTS with a message about THE GOSPEL IN THE TANACH, as we see that the Good News proclaimed in the New Testament was proclaimed hundreds of years earlier and that Yeshua Himself based His being Messiah on these Scriptures being fulfilled!

WE WILL NOT BE HAVING OUR USUAL ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE AS WE WILL CELEBRATE HAVDALAH AT JIM AND MICHELE BARTLETT’S HOME AT 5PM! THE ADDRESS IS: 11432 W. COOPER DR.LITTLETON, JUST SOUTHEAST OF THE CORNER OF SIMMS AND COAL MINE. ALL ARE WELCOME! THIS IS A POTLUCK AND THE MAIN DISH WILL BE BEEF MEATBALLS, SO PLEASE BRING A SIDE DISH, SALAD OR DESSERT. This is a wonderful evening of fellowship, food, and closing out the Shabbat by having a time of thanksgiving and worship. This is a family time, so bring the kids!

LADIES...mark your calendars for Sunday March 1 from 1-4pm for the Colorado Messianic Women’s Fellowship quartet gathering at Koelbel Library!  This is a great time of fellowship, worship, encouragement and time of uniting with other congregations in the community.

As we are in the middle of winter we know that weather conditions may change quite suddenly (this is Colorado and we are in the mountains afterall!) so I want to share with you our inclement weather protocol. We check the weather conditions all the time as we get closer to Shabbat. I will send out an update on Friday night by Facebook and also to those on our email list. In the morning, we will send out another update about road conditions going up the mountain. We will cancel service if it is considered dangerous driving conditions, because your safety is our primary concern. So, my advise and desire is: PRAY FOR GREAT WEATHER ON SHABBAT! But, in all cases be wise!

We look forward to seeing you this Shabbat!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom,

Stewart and Millie

Shabbat 2/1/2020

Shabbat Shalom!
Our nation is being torn apart by entrenched ideologies and viscous hatred, another Middle East peace plan has been unveiled and is being rejected by many, but the good news is God sits on His throne and laughs at those who boast against Him! A great opportunity to pray without ceasing, love Him with our whole being and to love the body of Messiah because we know the Day is approaching.

This Shabbat, February 1st, I will be continuing the theme of KNOWING OUR BIBLICAL ROOTS IN THE TANACH, with a message entitled “A  Prophet Like Moses” where we will explore the stunning similarities between Yeshua and Moses and why it is so important for us today.

BRING A DISH TO SHARE AT OUR ONEG, AND STAY FOR WONDERFUL FELLOWSHIP!  Torah Club and Dance Practice will follow. Hebrew study begins every Shabbat at 9:00 am

Remember, next Shabbat, February 8th, we will welcome Doug Hershey to share his amazing insights from the Parsha and about the day we are living in. He will also be sharing at the Larsen’s home in an informal Q&A time. We will be taking a love offering for Doug during the morning service so come prepared to bless him.

On February 15th, ONEG will be cancelled and we will have our Havdilah evening at Michelle and Jim Bartlett’s home. More information will be coming from Michelle including theme, address, time, an directions. If you’ve never attended a Havdilah (closing of the Shabbat) you must come and experience this wonderful time of fellowship and worship together!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat Shalom 1/25/2020

Shabbat Shalom!
The Presence of the Lord has been powerful on the mountain! I’ve heard testimonies of healings and breakthroughs and know that God is wanting to do so much more in our midst! I believe as we “linger” a bit longer than yesterday, incline our ear a bit closer to His heart and step out with greater boldness we will see His purposes in greater focus. Let’s keep our eyes and hearts fixed on him and not allow anything to stop the flow of precious oil of blessing being poured out among us.

This Shabbat, January 25th, I will be continuing our study into our Biblical roots with a message on “The New Birth and a New way to live”! These are foundational teachings that we see throughout the Word of God but often only associate with New Testament church history.

WE WILL HAVE A POT-BLESS ONEG FOLLOWING THE SERVICE, SO BRING A DISH TO SHARE AND STAY FOR WONDERFUL FELLOWSHIP!

Torah Club and Biblical Hebrew are classes that are offered on Shabbat. Many have been blessed by these classes as they have applied what they have learned and have seen great change in their lives! I want to encourage you to get involved and if the Lord would put it in your heart to even start a ministry as part of Or Chaim come and talk to us!

Mark your calendar for Shabbat, February 8th, as Doug Hershey, author and prophetic teacher will be with us during our morning service and sharing at the Larsen’s home in the evening.

Also, if you need prayer or breakthrough in a particular area, contact us so we can partner together and see great things happen!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!
