It has been snowing in the mountains since this morning. The forecast is for more snow (6 inches) through tomorrow morning. I just came back from town on I70 and it was very bad. OUR SHABBAT BRUNCH AND FELLOWSHIP SCHEDULED FOR JANUARY 1ST IS CANCELLED! WE WILL HAVE THE BRUNCH/FELLOWSHIP/WORSHIP NEXT SHABBAT JANUARY 8TH AT 11:30AM!

I was so looking forward to our meeting together to kick off the New Year! Oh well, we certainly need the snow and especially in the areas hit by the the Marshall fire yesterday. Please continue to pray for those effected by this terrible disaster. Goodbye2021 Happy Shabbat Shalom 2022

Shabbat Shalom and Happy New Year!As the calendar year 2021 comes to an end, we look forward to God’s blessings and breakthroughs in the coming year! In reading the Torah Portion for this Shabbat, I was taken aback by how many times Adonai tells Moses to say to Pharaoh “Let my people go …”, and the reason given is repeated just as often. Without looking, most would respond so that they could go to the Promised land or, to be set free from slavery or so that God can finally deal with the Israelites' oppressors. But Adonai says, “… So they may serve (worship) Me”. One thing that Millie and I sense very strongly as we enter 2022 is that Father is calling us into a deeper level of worshipping HIM AND SERVING HIM! Interesting as we head into the new year without a full time worship leader that He would call us to step up in the area of worship. It has never been about music or singing songs but anabsolute heart devotion and consecration to the person of Yeshua, desiring the presence of Ruach HaKodesh and adoration of Father God!
WE WILL BE GATHERING ON SHABBAT JANUARY 1ST TO WELCOME THE NEW YEAR WITH A BRUNCH/ FELLOWSHIP AND WORSHIP SERVICE! WE WILL MEET AT 11:30AM AND SHARE A POTLUCK BRUNCH TOGETHER. SO BRING THAT SPECIAL BREAKFAST DISH YOU LOVE OR SOMETHING SPECIAL TO SHARE WITH THE GROUP. AFTER THIS WE WILL HAVE A TIME OF WORSHIP AND DANCE AND SHARE COMMUNION TOGETHER! ALL ARE INVITED TO THIS SPECIAL SERVICE! AS WE HAVE LOOKED AT THE WEATHER REPORTS FOR THIS SHABBAT IT DOES LOOK LIKE THERE IS A CHANCE OF SNOW. ISN’T THAT FUNNY, WE HAVE HAD NO SNOW UP UNTIL NOW AND FOR THE FIRST SHABBAT OF THE YEAR THEY ARE CALLING FOR SNOW! OUR GOD IS IN CHARGE OF THE WEATHER! WE WILL MONITOR THE ROAD CONDITIONS AND KEEP YOU UPDATED AND HOPEFULLY MAKE A DECISION ON HAVING THE SERVICE BY FRIDAY EVENING. Shabbat Shalom!

What a wonderful Chanukkah season we enjoyed! Millie and I want to thank everyone who participated with Or Chaim in the various events that took place. One night, many of us joined with other churches and congregations to bless the Greenwood Village neighborhood by caroling door to door! We sang Chanukkah songs and Christmas songs and so many folks were blessed! Many people were surprised because they had not seen carolers in many years, one man even commenting that by our doing this it “restored his faith in mankind!” You might think “well, what’s the big deal going out to sing?” It was the intercessory praying and the intentional blessing as we walked a neighborhood that is predominantly Jewish that is the point. God is calling us to BLESS, and in a time with so much hatred, division, violence and hopelessness, we need to be intentional in imparting blessing in our communities.

This Shabbat December 11thas we gather on the mountain, I will be sharing the second part of a message entitled PIONEERING A HOUSE OF GLORY. This has been our desire for many years, and I believe it is a desire and a top priority for our Heavenly Father. I know that at this time of the year there are many things going on that keep us busy, but we want to encourage you to come on up and worship with us and be an encouragement to the body! These past 2 years have been a difficult time and there is sometimes a desire to isolate ourselves, but I often reflect on the words of the writer of Hebrews who said, “AND LET US CONSIDER HOW TO STIR UP ONE ANOTHER TO LOVE AND GOOD DEEDS …AND DO NOT NEGLECT OUR OWN MEETINGS.” We are the Body of Messiah and we need one another, because we ALL have something to offer, and also it is a way of declaring to the world and to the spiritual powers that we will gather and worship our King no matter what is happening around us!

Men, remember that our MEN’S ADVANCE will be taking place on January 21-22 2022 at THE HIDEAWAY INN IN Colorado Springs! Happy Hanukkah

Chag Hanukkkah Sameach!

We are in the middle of the Feast of Dedication (Hanukkah) where we celebrate the re-dedication of the Temple after the defilement by the Seleucids. It was an amazing victory of faith over humanism, and the triumph of a tiny but committed band of zealots against a mighty army with God’s help! Yeshua celebrated this holiday in John 10, and also proclaimed at this time that He was “Ben-Elohim, the Son of God! We have been gathering together all week at various locations, lighting the candles and encouraging one another in these chaotic days. On Wednesday night many of us joined with other Congregations and churches and blessed the Greenwood Village neighborhood by singing Hanukkah songs and Christmas carols! Wow, what an incredible evening as the “fragrance” we carry in Yeshua was able to bless many households! Millie and I want to thank all of you for participating with us, it made a difference!

This Shabbat December 4th (tell me its not December already!) join us at OCC on the mountain as we worship the Lord of the Shabbat together and proclaim that He is the Light of the World. I will be sharing a timely message I’ve entitled A PERFECT STORM AND A HOUSE OF GLORY, as we are not to walk in fear during times of shaking, but intentionally go about doing the Father’s business. He is building His House His way and it’s time to partner with Him as the living stones of that House!

Be in prayer for Millie as she is participating in a One New Man conference in North Carolina. She will be on a panel with the likes of Joel Richardson and Rabbi Steve Weiler sharing about how Jew and Gentile are to walk in unity at this crucial time in history.

Men of Or Chaim! We will be having our annual MEN’S ADVANCE at the Hideaway Inn in Colorado Springs on January 21-22. We will be again joining with Castlewood Canyon Church for this wonderful event and our guest speaker will be Chuck Stecker. Happy Thanksgiving Shabbat Nov 27, 2021

Shabbat Shalom!
We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We know that these last 2 years has been a very difficult time for many of you as we have battled with sickness, loss, loneliness and even death. However we also know that Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks, yes, even in the midst of trials and challenging times. The Psalmist exhorts us in Psalm 150, “let everything that has breath praise the Lord!” Millie and I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and pray that the Shalom of our God will be on you and your families! Also, we must remember the Festival of Lights or Feast of Dedication is upon us and as Yeshua says in John 8:12 “He who has ME has the LIGHT OF LIFE!”

We will be meeting on Shabbat at 10:30am. What a wonderful opportunity we have, to meet together as the family of God to praise Him and worship Him together!

Shabbat Shalom and Giving Thanks for YOU!
Millie and I just returned from the annual Messianic Leadership Roundtable sponsored by Jewish Voice in Phoenix. As usual, it was a wonderful opportunity to see old and new friends and to hear what God is doing around the world! For us, the highlight is always connecting with our Israeli friends and some of our Israeli “kids” who are now adults leading ministries in the land.

The Lord has been challenging myself and others recently about being more intentional in our sharing the ‘besorah’ (Hebrew for message or report) of the good news! It is not just for the gifted evangelist, but for all of us who have the promise of eternal life, as well as the hope that builds our faith as we look to His glorious return. I will be sharing about this on Shabbat. Come on up to the mountain and worship with us!

Shabbat Shalom!
As I write this today, our nation has Been celebrating Veteran’s Day, a day in which we honor those who have served this country in the military. As a veteran myself, I look back to my service some 50 years ago and realize for us it was about being part of something bigger than ourselves. As the body of Messiah, we serve our Master and others because of Kingdom principles that are bigger than just our own needs and desires. Are we who comprise the body of Messiah ready to lay our lives down as Yeshua did in order to see His will be done “on earth as it is in heaven”? Honestly, when I joined the Navy as a 17 year old seaman recruit right out of high school I didn’t really consider the full cost of my decision, but as I gradually realized that I was in something much bigger than myself, a sense of responsibly to do my part settled on me. This is how it should be in the Kingdom, when we realize we are sons and daughters of the Most High and it consequently motivates us to use whatever He has given us to see His purposes come to pass!

This Shabbat November 13th I will be sharing the second part of a message on Stewardship. Do we realize He has entrusted us to build His House? Do we realize that He has already provided all the resources we need! Just because my gifts are different than yours, does that mean that I am more valued or less valued by my Heavenly Father? These are questions we often ask and we will explore what the Word of God has to say about these things. Come on up to the Mountain and let us worship Him together as one Body, with different parts that all need one another!

Hanukkah is just around the corner! It begins on the evening of Sunday, November 28th. On that first night we will light the candles on the Hanukkiah at the home of Pete and Linda Doty. There address is 1929 Interlocken Dr. Evergreen, 80439. This will be a wonderful evening of fellowship, remembering the dedication of the Temple and of course, celebrating Yeshua as our Light of the World! All are welcome! On Tuesday night the community will have a candlelighting ceremony at 5:30 pm Nov 30th at the State Capitol. Please come join and support this event. On Wednesday December 1st, at 6pm we will gather at Rez Anglican Church in Greenwood Village, 9250 E. Belleview Ave, 80111, and do outreach into the Jewish community singing Chanukah songs and Christmas carols! We will also bless the folks with hot chocolate, so all are welcome to come on out and bless them. If you play guitar, bring it so we can have several teams go out, and don’t worry about not having a great voice because it will be making a joyful sound to the Lord!

Just one more thing, the men will be having our annual Advance at the Hideaway Inn in Colorado Springs on January 20-21st. Cost is only $135, and our special speaker will be Chuck Stecker, as we join with the men of Castlewood Canyon Church for this wonderful event. We will be giving you more information in the weeks ahead.

Shabbat Shalom!

Millie and I have been receiving some encouraging testimonies from our time in Kenya! As we prayed for many people, one husband and wife we prayed for had no employment for quite a while, Praise God they both have jobs! We prayed for a lady named Zibora, who had been oppressed by the demonic to the point of not being able to sleep, as we sensed she needed deliverance, Yeshua broke off the demonic forces and she has been set free and is sleeping and doing extremely well! These are just a few of the stories of breakthrough we have been receiving since returning back from Africa.The other day, several of us went to the State Capitol and prayed for righteousness and justice to be returned to this nation, we worshipped the King of kings, and we stood in the gap and cried out on behalf of the land, proclaiming 2Chronicles and other scriptures believing that revival will break out here. GOD IS MOVING! This is a time that Father is encouraging His children to complete assignments He has given, and walk with endurance and confidence.

This Shabbat November 6th we will have a very special guest at Or Chaim! This young man is an Israeli Believer who leads the Congregation in Tel Aviv that Millie and I co-pastored when we lived there. Him and his family have a passion for their people to hear about Yeshua and to see Him high and lifted up among the people of Israel! This has been a challenging time for believers around the world, especially in Israel where there has been many absolute shut-downs and draconian restrictions on gathering together. Come on out to meet this young family and let’s bless them! This Sunday November 7th we will be having our Men’s gathering at Rabbi Stewart's house. All men are welcome to these special times of encouragement, refreshing and fellowship with one another. We begin at 10am and go until noon, so bring some bagels and nosh and and let’s enjoy!

For those who are able, we will continue to meet at the Capitol on Tuesdays at 5pm on the west steps. These are special times of intercession and proclamation of worship, as the Scriptures are clear to pray for our cities and nations to declare who He is with our voices. This is an assignment for our Congregation and a call for the body here in the metro area also. Come on out on November 9th and let’s make our voices heard together!

Hanukkah begins on Sunday evening November 28th! We will be joining with other churches and ministries in the city to bless the Jewish community in Greenwood Village on the evening of Wednesday December1st, with Chanukah songs and Christmas carols! We will walk through the neighborhood singing and distributing hot chocolate, and at the same time letting these precious folks know that we love them! If you play the guitar or sing or just want to have a great time, come on out! We will meet at Resurrection Anglican Church, 9250 E. Belleview Ave. Greenwood Village 80111 at 6pm that evening. ALL ARE WELCOME!

Shabbat Shalom!
I love the cool, crisp early Autumn days! My favorite time of the year especially here in Colorado. Millie and I are finally coming through jet-lag from our ministry trip to Kenya. I’m telling you, the older I get, the more I “feel” my body in my travels and the longer it takes to recover! However, there is no way we will ever tire of ‘going’ into the nations and seeing His international Family being expanded! What an incredible trip that we had and we will be sharing with you all over the next weeks. This shabbat October 30th, Father has given me a message on how to be good stewards of what He has given all of us, and how we can embrace the grace of God as well as our faithfulness in carrying out our responsibilities. Come on out and join the Mishpacha on “the Mountain” and worship with us and be an encouragement to the body!

Some exciting and fun things to put on the calendar and be part of:
- This Tuesday November 2nd at 5pm we will start meeting again on the west steps of the State Capitol to continue the assignment Father has given us to proclaim His Lordship over this State and nation, and intercede for His purposes to be accomplished here! This will be an ongoing event on Tuesday evenings.
- On Sunday November 7th we will have our monthly Men’s meeting at 10am. This month we will meet at my house. These are great times of fellowship, encouragement and praying for one another. All men are invited to these times.
- On Wednesday December 1st at 6pm, we will be getting together with other Believers in the city who love the Jewish people to bless the Jewish community in Greenwood Village! We will sing Hanukah songs and Christmas carols (believe it or not, Jews love Christmas carols!). We will go into the neighborhood and serve hot chocolate and be a blessing to these folks that God loves so much! All are welcome to join us and you don’t have to have a great singing voice to come out and sing! We will be giving you more information as we get closer to the time. This will be great fun!

Some of you have been asking what are some specific areas that you can serve the OCC family in practical ways. One very important area that we want to raise up a team is in the area of our worship, specifically our Audio/Visual team. Please let me know if you are interested in serving in this vital area and we will organize training on the equipment. We want to continue to bless others outside of the local area by doing our live- feeds, as well as not putting an undue burden on one person to do it all. This is how community works together!

Shalom Mishpacha!
Today we will be preparing to fly back to Denver! Our flight leaves at 10:25pm Local Nairobi time. To say that this has been a fruitful and phenomenal outreach would be an understatement! We did 4 leadership conferences and spoke at the Mlolongo church, prayed for so many folks and heard many reports of breakthrough from folks in the last week. Or Chaim was able to bless the 23 kids in the orphanage with new mattresses, blankets, towels and eating utensils. Also we brought them school supplies, backpacks, tee shirts, worship tamborets (thank you Linda Doty!), and many more things. We have heard from many of the leaders and pastors in the last week that they sense a breakthrough in their ministries and have been greatly encouraged! They have already invited us back for the next conference by the sea in Mombasa so start saving your money and vacation days to join us. It is a life changing kingdom building experience. We’d love a dance team to come with us and those who love to minister to the people.

As you can imagine, the last 2 years of pandemic insanity has brought much distress to the local people, but God has been their constant source of encouragement. They are so grateful to our Congregation and others who have been part of blessing them in real and tangible ways. Millie and I want to thank all of you for contributing by praying, giving, and being part of these precious people’s lives! The kids in the orphanage here in Mlolongo told Pastor Sammy they they felt like “King’s Kids”, and they are!

We will be returning to Denver on Friday afternoon so please for safe travel for us(our c tests came back negative!), so we will be sharing with you all this Shabbat! See ya then!

Shabbat Shalom!

Went for a drive the other days and the color of the trees were stunning! Definitely my favorite time of the year with warm days and cool nights! Right now, Millie and I are packing for our trip to Kenya, our ministry trip that was originally planned for last April, but had to be postponed because of a severe covid breakout in the capital of Nairobi. As of now, all things are GO, and we are excited and ready to share with our lovely brothers and sisters in that beautiful country, to be a blessing to them and in turn be blessed by them! We will be teaching in their annual Leader’s Conference for HIS HANDS OVER AFRICA MINISTRIES next week and then traveling around Kenya ministering in churches and orphanages and in the villages. The last time we were there we saw God move miraculously in healings, and we are expecting great things to happen this year!

COME TO THE SERVICE THIS SHABBAT 0CTOBER 9TH AND PRAY FOR US BEFORE WE LEAVE FOR THE AIRPORT! WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU THERE AND COVET YOUR PRAYER COVERING FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS. ALSO, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE PEOPLE OF KENYA, ESPECIALLY THE PRECIOUS ORPHANS, YOU CAN BRING TO THE SERVICE AND YOU WILL CERTAINLY BE A BLESSING TO THEM! We will also welcome a dear friend of Or Chaim back this week as SALLY KLEIN-O’CONNOR will minster to us in song and testimonies of encouragement! Sally has an intimacy with Yeshua that is contagious and her story of being an overcomer is compelling. This will be a wonderful Shabbat (it always is!), so come on out and ‘hang' with the Mishpacha and bless The Lord and join us in worshipping Him!

Shalom Mishpacha!

With the conclusion of Simcha Torah and all of the major Fall Mo’adim over for 2021, it is NOT, yes I repeat, NOT, a time to return to normal! What is normal anyway? There is only forward! If I am hearing from Heaven correctly, and I believe I am, It is a time of "RE-CALIBRATION” for the body of Messiah. The dictionary defines that word as “to correct or adjust the gradations or settings; to re-examine one’s thinking, plan, or system of values”, so a returning to ‘normal’ is out of the question! Moving forward is our only option and we need our heavenly GPS charged and operating!

Millie and I were blessed to attend the International Aglow Conference/MOI this past week and we came back with a renewed vision of our assignment for this upcoming season. It’s easy for me to focus on all of the evil, chaos, corruption and deception in the world, and get really righteously angry, but I believe Father is saying to us at this hour: ”WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO FOR YOU? He is wanting to give us plans and strategies to bring His kingdom to planet earth at this precipitous time!

Come on up to “the Mountain” this Shabbat October 2nd at 10:30am and join the family in worshipping the King of Kings and really make this a special time! I strongly sense that the Father wants to speak to us corporately through the worship and the Word that will be given. I will be sharing about what I see as the “re-calibration” that is taking place and how we are to embrace it. I have been walking with Yeshua for 42 years (I know, you’re thinking I can’t be that old!) and I have seen and been part of some amazing things, but I believe there are even more incredible things just ahead. God wants us to be encouraged and not lose hope, He is doing a great work and we are part of it!

This Sunday October 3rd, the men will be gathering for their monthly Men’s group at Lee Cooperman’s house beginning at 10am. His address is: 7574 Grand Ct. Aurora, 80016. This will be a great time of fellowship and encouragement…it always is and all men are welcome! Ladies, also on Sunday the Colorado Messianic Women’s Fellowship will be gathering at The Dwelling Place, 16800 W. 9th Ave. Golden from 2pm-5pm. These are special times of worship, fellowship and impartation so, ladies, come on out! There will be a special announcement concerning the future of the ministry and you won’t want to miss special speaker Stephanie Schureman.

Please be in prayer as Millie and I prepare to leave for Kenya in just a little over a week. We sense that this will be a wonderful time of impartation as we develop the partnership we have with the Kenyan believers. We have had this relationship with HIS HANDS OVER AFRICA MINISTRY since 2018 and have been blessed to be invited to share with their pastors and leaders in their annual conference for the second time. They have especially been hit hard not just with covid, but an increased degree of financial persecution from corrupt officials. Ask the Lord if you are to contribute to the Kenyan church…you can give through Or Chaim. ALL CONTRIBUTIONS WILL GO TOWARD BLESSING THESE WONDERFUL FOLKS!

Sukkoth Sameach!

Chag Succoth Sameach!
What a wonderful season this has been! Or Chaim has been celebrating the Mo’adim (appointed Feasts of the Lord), and we are now in the harvest festival of Succoth. Many of us have been gathering at Tom and Mary’s farm in Watkins enjoying the sukkah and each other’s fellowship! The weather has been great, so come on out and hang with the folks! Millie and I want to thank all of you for your prayer for our daughter in law, Michelle. She made an incredible (God ordained!) turnaround this past weekend! From being very close to being put on a ventilator, within a short time her oxygen levels increased, she was removed from ICU and within a day, released from the hospital! Thank you Yeshua! Please continue to pray and declare healing and life for so many folks who are struggling with this virus! This has been a very trying time for many of us, not just with the virus but with family and financial issues, exasperated by an avalanche of evil and corruption in the world system! This is a time to press in with a sense of urgency in prayer and in advancing the Kingdom because the warfare is increasing!

Millie and I will be at a Aglow/Men of Issachar conference this weekend, so we would ask that you pray for us. This is our first time attending this event, as the CMWF (Colorado Messianic Women’s Fellowship) will be joining with this group, we are looking forward to fresh revelation and impartation! We love you all and let’s expect great things in the upcoming year!

Yom Kippur 2021

Shalom and Chag Sameach!

The Fall Mo’adim are upon us! Last week we celebrated Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets/Rosh HaShana) and Wednesday eveningSeptember 15th we enter the holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). Or Chaim will observe ‘Kol Nidre’ services at 6pm on the mountain and all are welcome. Yom Kippur is a Biblically mandated fast, which we encourage you all to participate in, and we will gather together on Thursday September 16th at 6pm at the Doty’s home to Break Fast. The address for Pete and Linda Doty is: 1929 Interlocken Dr. Evergreen, 80439 This is a “pot-bless”, so bring a favorite dish, either a main dish, salad, side or dessert. Again, all are welcome to our Break Fast as we close this holiest of days and declare together that our names are written kin the Lambs Book of Life!

This Shabbat September 18thwe will be gathering on the mountain for our Shabbat Service at 10:30am. Yes, I know what you are saying, “it sure is a busy time of the year!” I would agree with you, and encourage you to gather together during these feasts, because in these turbulent days it is imperative that we encourage and bless one another. Honestly, there are demonic forces that want to prevent us from gathering together and we do not want to let that happen! Next week is Succoth, between September 20-27th and those who can will be gathering at the Westendorf’s farm. We will continue to send you information in regards to that time.

Also, there are folks that need a miracle in their bodies! Please pray for Michelle and Brian (our son and daughter-in-law have c); Judith needs healing in hands and shoulder; 2 year old Noah who has an infection in his hip; Abby needs a touch in her body. There is power in the mighty Name of Yeshua, and there is power in the Blood to heal every disease and break every chain that hold us in bondage! During this season, let us be bold in declaring who He is and holding on to faith to see mighty things happen! HE IS ABLE!

Shabbat 9/11/2021

Shabbat Shalom!
What an incredible night we had last Monday as we celebrated the Feast of Trumpets and welcomed Hebrew year 5782! It truly was a One New Man festival as Jews and non-Jews gathered to worship the King on this Appointed Time from ‘the Mountain’! The Presence of Adonai was powerful and for many folks it was the first time to observe this day, and they were blessed. The following day, many of us went to Pine Valley Ranch and enjoyed the annual ‘hike and toot’ as we brought our Shofarot up a mountain and made a glorious sound to the Lord! This ia a very active and intense time of the year as we are in the midst of the 10 Days of Awe leading up to Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), beginning on Wednesday evening September 15th.

We will be having a special ‘Kol Nidre' service that evening beginning at 6pm, it is a time of corporate repentance and confession and all are welcome to this most holy of all the Feasts of the Lord. It begins a 24 hour fast, a time of ‘humbling our souls’ and acknowledging areas where we have fallen short during the year and corporately confessing our need for the blood of Yeshua to cleanse us all! The following evening, Thursday September 16th we will close out our Yom Kippur observances with our annual Break the Fast, this year at Pete and Linda Doty’s home: 1929 Interlocken Dr. Evergreen 80439 at 6:00pm and all are welcome!

This Shabbat 9/11, I will be sharing about the significance of the Fall Appointed Times (Mo’adim) and what God is speaking to His body at this important time. Folks, as I’ve said many times in the past, these special times and gatherings are “The feasts of The Lord”, not just some randoms dates on the calendar or for the Jewish people only! He is moving, He is calling us to move with Him, these are incredibly important and strategic days where we need to be hearing what His Ruach is saying!

This Sunday September 12th the men of Or Chaim will be gathering for our monthly Men’s meeting. We will meet at 10am at Tom Westendorf’s farm, 1029 S. Bonnie Ln. Watkins, 80137. REMEMBER, TOM PAINTED HIS HOUSE AND IT IS NO LONGER YELLOW, IT IS WHITE! These are special times of fellowship and building up one another and I encourage all of you men to come on out and participate. Lee will have a sign up sheet this Shabbat for what to bring.

The feast of Sukkot(Tabernacles) begins at sundown on Monday September 20th. This is the last great feast of the Fall and is a special time as we build and spend time in a Sukkah (a small flimsy dwelling) to worship the King and look forward to the last and greatest harvest! It will be this year at the Westendorf’s farm in Watkins. We will have a special Erev Succoth service at their home that evening at 6pm and various activities taking place that week. Last year, many folks stayed at the farm and camped out. You are welcome to do it this year! More information will be sent out in the next days, so stay tuned! If you will be coming to the farm, please RSVP to Mary at (720)231-8505 as soon as you can. We will not be having our regular Shabbat service at Gateway on Mount Zion on September 25th, but will be gathering at the farm.

As you can see, there is a lot going on! It is always this way during the Mo’adim, so let’s enjoy the time and participate as best we can!

Shabbat 9/4/2021 plus Moadim Biblical Feast Days

Shabbat Shalom!

We are quickly approaching the Fall Feasts! On Monday September 6th at 6pm we will welcome Yom Teruah (The feast of Trumpets/Rosh HaShana) with a joint celebration with Gateway on Mount Zion Church! It will be a glorious evening as the One New Man gathers together and welcomes the Presence of The King from "the Mountain", and we usher in the 10 Days of Awe leading up to Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. Millie and I truly believe there will be something extraordinarily significant released this year, as we enter into Hebrew year 5782. The message of Awakening, Preparation and Consecration is being pronounced and heard by many of us. Come, with hearts full of expectation and a sense of awe as we worship Him and sound the Shofar from Mt. Zion! On Tuesday September 7th we will continue our observation of the Feast of Trumpets with the annual “Hike and Toot”, as we gather at Pine Valley Ranch, 30400 Crystal Lake Road, Pine, at 2pm. Pack a picnic, and bring a dessert to share and of course bring your Shofar and wear your hiking shoes!

This Shabbat September 4thwe will be gathering for our Shabbat Service to ‘kick-off’ this holiday weekend (Labor Day as well as Feast of Trumpets), as Father has given me a message to share about what God is wanting to restore in His House! There is so much in the gospel of the Kingdom (gospel of Yeshua) that we don’t understand that He wants to reveal, that will lead to incredible transformation! I want to focus on the COVENANT aspects of the good news, that is often overlooked. Come on up to the mountain and let’s worship together and encourage one another in these dangerous days that we are living in. As I many times make reference to what the writer of Hebrews exhorts, “LET US HOLD FAST THE UNWAVERING CONFESSION OF HOPE , FOR HE WHO PROMISED IS FAITHFUL. AND LET US CONSIDER HOW TO STIR UP ONE ANOTHER TO LOVE AND GOOD DEEDS AND DO NOT NEGLECT OUR OWN MEETINGS …”. We are excited and expectant of that is getting ready to brought forth in our midst!

Just a reminder, although this is the first weekend of the month, we will not be having our Men’s gathering because of the holiday. WE WILL MEET ON SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 12TH AT 10AM AT TOM WESTENDORF’S FARM! His address is: 1029 S. Bonnie Lane, Watkins 80137. We will give more details next week on what to bring.

As a very busy and exciting summer begins to wind down, we are entering into my favorite time of the year, the Fall Feasts. Continue to prepare your hearts and 'anoint your ears’ so we will be able to hear the voice of our Heavenly Father and not be distracted from the false voices of fear, hopelessness and despair that are so prevalent in our world today. Shabbat 8/28/2021

Shabbat Shalom!
This has been a very busy and exciting summer season. We have been blessed to have special guests from Israel share what is happening in the land, as well as encourage us that though things in the world may be chaotic and cause fear to rise in many people, God’s plans will prevail and we as people of faith need not be anxious for anything! As I’ve been sharing over the last few weeks, we are in the month of Elul, and we are in preparation to meet with our King and our Heavenly Father to celebrate his faithfulness to us in the upcoming Fall Feasts (Chagim).

Millie and I are taking a bit of a break before the holidays and will not be at the Shabbat service this week. Not a problem! Our elders will be leading the service and Kent Brown will be bringing a message of encouragement and hope! Tammy Vacura will also be leading our worship as our precious Wendy is spending time with her family. It will be an awesome service and we want to encourage you to gather together and worship the Lord of the Shabbat, on the Shabbat, on the mountain! We will be returning on Sunday.

Be blessed and continue to seek the King during these special times, and prepare your hearts for the High Holy Days! Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets) begins on Monday September 6th at 6pm. We will be having a wonderful service along with Gateway In Mt. Zion to celebrate this feast! See you soon!

Shabbat 4/21/2021 plus Havdalah Evening

Shabbat Shalom!I know what you are thinking and saying: “man, things are really sliding out of control and nobody is in charge!” I have got really good news for you today, Yeshua Himself says, “When these things start to happen, STAND UP AND HOLD YOUR HEADS HIGH; BECAUSE YOU ARE ABOUT TO BE LIBERATED!” (Luke 21:28). Wow, if that doesn’t encourage you, nothing will, and you need to start reading your Word again, and trusting again that everything He says will come to pass! The message of the Kingdom and of our King is all about Hope, Love and being Joyful in the midst of tribulation and hardship!
This Shabbat August 21st (Elul13) Father has given me a message to bring entitled Things Not Yet Restored: A Place For His Presence!, and I will hope to highlight what He is doing in our faith community. Covenant relationship is something that has been God’s desire to see us walk in since the garden. What is significant about covenant, is the aspect of ‘death’. I am not talking here about physical death, although that is part of the process, I am talking about dying to the old things like flesh patterns, mindsets, attitudes and unrighteous living that keeps us “stuck” in old wineskins. The era that we are in now, with the world in crisis, has not caught God by surprise and it is a time where we are being challenged to trust Him and walk in faith more than any other time before. You don’t want to miss this service!

This Saturday evening August 21st at 5:30pm, we will be gathering for our monthly ‘Havdalah’ as we close out the Shabbat. We will meet at Lee Cooperman’s new home,7574 S. Grand Baker Ct., Aurora 80016 for a wonderful evening of fellowship, food and giving thanks to Yeshua for all He is to us! It will be a Mexican themed potluck, so bring a main dish or side or dessert that has a ’south of the border’ flair to it! Drinks will be provided and we will also affix a ‘Mezuzah’ on Lee’s door to his new house! Everyone is invited and it will be a great evening!

Mishpacha, be encouraged in the Lord! God is good and He is faithful and will do what He says he will do!

Shabbat 8/14/2021 Paul Wilbur Live!

Shabbat Shalom!
As we head into the last half of summer, it is a good opportunity to review where we have been and where we are going. Revival, Restoration and Building a House based on God’s blueprint is what He has been saying to us this year. He is calling us to revive those ancient paths that have laid dormant such as returning to holiness and living a consecrated lifestyle as we are being restored as a House of prayer and as a dwelling of His Ruach HaKodesh. We are now in the Hebrew month of Elul, traditionally a season of searching our hearts in preparation for the gathering in Father’s presence at the Fall Mo’adim in less than 30 days. It is a time that we hear the sound of the Shofar reminding us to get ready for the arrival of the King! God’s calendar is not random but a specific roadmap, as you can say, for taking stock of what we are doing or not doing, and making the necessary “course corrections” to get back on track!

This weekend Or Chaim Congregation will welcome Paul Wilbur! Paul is a Prophetic psalmist and songwriter who has been a blessing to people all over the world, not only by his incredible Messianic music, but also in his message proclaiming the Kingdom and the Beauty of King Yeshua the Messiah-Lord of all the Earth! He will be with us for our morning Shabbat Service August 14th at 10:30am ministering in music and the Word and then at GOMZ that evening at 6:30pm (doors will open at 5:30pm). If you would like to stay in the area after the morning service, feel free to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the beautiful outdoors up here on Lookout Mountain! The church doors will be locked from 3-5:30 pm as no saving seats. So, try here are also plenty of local restaurants in the area, and this would be a great opportunity to fellowship with other folks. A love offering will be taken for Paul and his ministry during the morning service. If you still want more of Paul, join Gateway On Mount Zion Church on Sunday August 15th at 10am. It would be a good idea to arrive early to these events as many folks will be visiting and this is also a great opportunity to invite friends and family members and to introduce them to great Messianic worship! Look forward to seeing you there!

On Saturday August 21st at 5:30pm we will have our monthly Havdalah celebration at Lee Cooperman’s new house! His address is 7574 S. Grand Baker Ct. Aurora, 80016. These are wonderful evenings of fellowship, food and a fun way to close out the Shabbat, and of course all are welcome. This will be a potluck meal, so we will let you know in the next week what kind of food to bring. We will bless Lee’s new house as we affix a ‘Mezuzah’ to his front door!

As you can see, there is much happening! The Fall Feasts will begin with Yom Teruah on Monday September 6th, and we will be having a joint celebration service with GoMZ that evening at 6:30pm. Shabbat July 31st Guest Speaker from Israel Chaim Malespin

Shalom!
You may not know this, but we are within 40 days of the Fall Mo’adim (Appointed Times)! With all that is happening in the world, not just things I can see with the natural eyes but as I view things through a Biblical and kingdom perspective, my ‘kishkas” (inner man) tells me to expect extraordinary events will take place. I have not been labeled or put in the office of a prophet or seer, but I do read my Bible and pray for His Kingdom to come, and have a strong sense that ‘Suddenlies' are going to be happening in families and on a national and international level in the next days and weeks. At times do I prophesy and see things as revealed by the RUACH HaKodesh so, be encouraged, don’t fear, keep on praying and believing (Luke 18:1) and walk in expectation and hope that God will do some amazing things!

This Shabbat July 31st we will be welcoming a young man that we have known for many years from Israel. Chaim Malespin is a Congregational leader and director of Aliyah Return Center in Tiberius. An extraordinary man of passion and vision, who desires to serve his people in the most unique and practical loving ways. Millie and I have grown to love this man since we met him and his family many years ago when we all first moved to the land. This will be great service to invite your children and their friends to hear Chaim’s perspective on what God is restoring in Israel and the nations as he delivers a “boots on the ground” insightful message.

As we have been doing this summer, bring a picnic lunch to share after the service and hang with Chaim and the Mishpacha for a bit!

-Sunday August 8th Ted Pearce will be ministering at Castlewood Canyon Church in Franktown at 10am, ALL ARE INVITED!
-Shabbat August 14th and Sunday the 15th, Paul Wilbur will be with us all weekend!

As you can see, with summer in high gear there is much happening and much to look forward to! We look forward to seeing all of you and sharing in the awesome things God will be doing over the next days and weeks, and as the writer of Hebrews says: “And let us consider how to stir up one another in love and good deeds … and all the more so as you see the Day approaching.”
