Shabbat 5/29/2021

Shabbat Shalom!

Over the last many months, through the pandemic and economic shutdowns, increased violence and divisiveness and the latest rise of anti-semitism, government transitional chaotic changes, I have been reminded constantly of this fact: DO NOT JUDGE WHAT GOD IS DOING BY WHAT YOU SEE OR DON'T SEE IN THE NATURAL REALM! His Word, His plans and purposes, for you personally and for His Bride (Church) will produce a harvest of righteousness! As we read the Psalms we see how David was honest about his circumstances and feelings, whether he was surrounded by enemies or abandoned by friends or frustrated that his Lord didn’t do something according to his timetable, he always declared his allegiance to, and hope in His God! This is how we are to live in these days where evil seems to be on the advance and enemies of God seem to be having their way. I am encouraged by the words of our Master in His great priestly prayer in John 17: “I AM NOT ASKING THAT YOU TAKE THEM OUT OF THE WORLD, BUT THAT YOU KEEP THEM FROM THE EVIL ONE, THEY ARE NOT OF THE WORLD JUST AS I AM NOT OF THE WORLD.” Be encouraged, as people are being healed miraculously in our midst, the good news of the Kingdom is being boldly proclaimed and we know of folks that are being delivered and set free from bondages!

This weekend we celebrate Memorial Day! It is a day we honor those who died serving this great nation during times of war, so we encourage you over the next days to consider the cost of freedom and pray for those who are serving in our armed forces now! This Shabbat May 29th I will be sharing a message entitled REVIVAL OR REVOLUTION?, where we will explore what it really means when we ask for HIS PRESENCE to come and fill us. Come on up to the Mountain and spend some time with the Mishpacha! It is especially important during times of great trial to fellowship with and encourage one another. Also, feel free to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Lookout Mountain as the weather should be nice on Shabbat.

We are excited about what God is up to in these days! Over the next few weeks we will be introducing some special folks to you that will greatly encourage you!

Also, the next Men’s meeting will be on Sunday June 6th, so we want to encourage all of you guys to come out to Kent Brown’s house in Idaho Springs. His address is: 1500 Colorado Blvd. unit A, Idaho Springs 80452. All men are invited to these special times of encouragement and fellowship and it would be a great time to share a ride with someone else.

Ladies don’t forget to register for the women’s retreat! It’s not too late and there is still room!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 5/22/2021

Shabbat 5/22/2021

Shabbat Shalom!

We have been celebrating Shavuot for the past week. Last weekend we had The Rabbi’s Son Bill Bullock and our new friend Tony Young visit with us and Castlewood Canyon Church and it was a powerful time of impartation, revelation and hearing the heart of The Father afresh! Such perfect timing with all the violence happening in Israel and the “balagon” (Hebrew for craziness and confusion) here in the USA! This has been a time of increased intercession for the Jewish people as well as all the lost and hurting people in our communities. The other day several of us community leaders in the area came together to pray specifically for the Jewish people in Denver and the Front Range, and the Lord reminded us of when Yeshua (Jesus) told Peter to put out the net on the other side of the boat. They had fished all night and caught nothing and they were tired. They knew how to fish and were unsuccessful that night but Peter said something that was amazing. He said, “But at your word …”, in other words because The Lord says to do something that you might not understand or you’ve been doing for a long time, do it anyway! He will bring the harvest of those who are seeking Him when He will do it, we just need to obey! We are committed to seeing all people seeking Life, Freedom, Shalom, and Healing presented with the good news of the Kingdom! Many of those are our Jewish people as anti-semitism has risen! Please be praying for the Israel…the Peace of Jerusalem and the USA! Also pray for our Kenyan family of believers Eugenio, Idah, Sammy, Becky and Peggy and the many needs they have running their orphanage, schools, and churches and house churches!

This Shabbat May 22nd I will be continuing the theme of “God’s Eternal Purposes” with a message on the specific purpose of Messianic communities. Come on up to the Mountain and enjoy wonderful fellowship with the Mishpacha and the powerful Presence of Adonai as we worship Him as our incredible King! On Sunday May 23rd there will be a STAND WITH ISRAEL RALLY at the Civic Center Park in Downtown Denver across from the State Capitol. We have been invited to this rally by the Jewish Community. The rally starts at 4:30pm and it we are encouraged to bring our Israel and USA flags as we stand with and support the nation of Israel during these dangerous times when anti-semitism is on the rise, even in our halls of government!

We look forward to seeing you on Shabbat!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom,

Stewart and Millie

Shavuot Special Shabbat 5/15/2021

Shalom Everyone,
"REDEEM ISRAEL, O GOD, FROM ALL THEIR TROUBLES” PSALM 25:22; “ … SAVE TRHEM WITH AN EVERLASTING SALVATION” ISAIAH 45:17
Once again, rockets are being fired from Gaza into the heart of Israel. Israelis are spending sleepless nights in bomb shelters and narrow hallways as air raid sirens are sounding. Houses are being indiscriminately bombed with innocent people being injured and killed from Ashdod and Ashkelon to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and the surrounding towns. This is nothing new for the Middle East and Israel, Millie and I lived in the land during the second Intifada and the Lebanon war of 2006, but coming on the heels of pandemic shutdowns and a global disruption, this seems more dangerous. The Hebrew word for ‘violence and wrongdoing ‘ is ‘Hamas’ and is first used in Genesis 6:11:"NOW THE EARTH WAS RUINED BEFORE GOD, AND THE EARTH WAS FILLED WITH VIOLENCE (HAMAS)”. As we approach the festival of Shavuot when we remember the faithfulness of our God in giving us His word and His Ruach (Spirit), let us pray for the His Shalom in the land and His protection over His covenant people! I am not surprised by any of this, as we increase the level of prayer and intercession, the prince of this world will try to ‘counterattack’ to discourage us. Don’t give up, press in and keep crying out to the King of Kings for His purposes to prevail at this time!
This is a very special weekend as we celebrate Shavuot, along with Castlewood Canyon Church! Actually, I have been invited by Father Phil Eberhart of Rez Anglican Church to lead an Erev Shabbat service on Friday, May 14th at 7pm!, Bill Bullock will be sharing that evening and it will be an awesome time of worship and prayer and of course, all are welcome. The address is: 9250 E. Belleview Ave, Greenwood Village, 80111. On Shabbat May 15th we will be meeting at 10:30am at Or Chaim, 166 S. Lookout Mt. Rd. Golden, 80401, and will have a special service with The Rabbi’s Son Bill Bullock and his colleague Tony Young. The theme for the weekend is: Strategies for Re-introducing Hope, Healing and Shalom Back into a Shattered and Angry World. After the morning session, we will have a lunch break and we encourage you to bring a picnic lunch, and you can eat outside on the beautiful grounds of the church, or go to nearby Bergen Park to grab a bite. We will have an afternoon session beginning at approximately 2:30pm and finishing by 4pm. On Sunday May 16th at 10am we will gather at Castlewood Canyon Church; 389 Castlewood Canyon Rd, Franktown, 80116. Bill and Tony will continue their teaching. All are invited to these services and we will take love offering on both days!
As you can see, this is going to be a very exciting weekend! Shavuot is an ‘Appointed Time’ where Father desires to meet with His children and we sense that He wants to speak some very important things to us! The world has become even more dangerous, and He wants to equip us to navigate things and also to let us know “… HE’S GOT IT!”Shalom and Blessings!Stewart and Millie

Shabbat 5/8/2021

Shabbat Shalom!

You have probably heard the terms “shift” or “atmospheric change” over the last few years in regards to spiritual and cultural issues. I do believe that there have been some major events recently that would validate the use of those terms and if we look with kingdom eyesight we can see that change is happening. Let me give a few personal examples to help illustrate: recently as myself and others have intentionally gone out to share about Yeshua (Jesus) to others, I have sensed a greater receptivity than in the past. Folks who had been turned off to religion and church are increasingly becoming interested in the PERSON of Yeshua. Also, the importance of prayer and intercession and engaging in “Spiritual warfare" for our families, cities and nation have become more of a priority. For instance, yesterday as we gathered at the State Capitol for the National Day of Prayer there was an urgency and a passion, even in many of the State legislators, for divine intervention, more than I’ve ever seen before! These elected officials were in many cases pleading for the Church to arise and pray for them! There was a strong sense in the many people that gathered on those steps that we all need to be more intentional in crying out for Righteousness and Justice to prevail in every aspect of our lives! Millie and I want to thank all of you who came out in support of this event, it was powerful!

This Shabbat May 8th, I will be continuing my series on God’s eternal purposes and focus on the Bride with a messageentitled A MARRIAGE MADE IN HEAVEN! No, I won’t be talking about my marriage to Millie although it was made in heaven, but I will talk about some unique characteristics of the Triune God and how we were created to interact with each person of the Trinity! Come on out this Shabbat and enjoy the Mishpacha and also the presence of Adonai! His presence has been powerful during our worship and awesome things are taking place as we allow Him to overwhelm us in precious ways!

Remember, next weekend May 15th and 16th we will be welcoming Bill Bullock of The Rabbi’s Son Ministry to celebrate Shavuot! He will be with us on the mountain, 166 S. Lookout Mountain Road, Golden, all day Shabbat May 15th. Our morning service begins at 10:30am and we encourage everyone to bring a picnic style lunch, and we will have an afternoon session following the lunch break. Guests are certainly welcome as Bill is an incredible and inspiring teacher! We will take up a love offering for his ministry. On Sunday May 16thwe will be with Bill again as he will be sharing at Castlewood Canyon Church, 389 Castlewood Canyon Rd. Franktown, 80116. The service there will begin at 10am, and of course all are welcome for this service!

Can’t wait to see you all! These days are so significant and so necessary for us to be gathering together, for as the writer of Hebrews says “… and all the more as you see the DAY approaching.”

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat May 1, 2021

Shalom Mishpacha!

In my greeting today, I’m using the term ‘Mishpacha’ purposely because it is important to understand the Hebrew term for family. The word refers to “family, household, kin, kindred, origin, species”. Along with so many other institutions in these days, the God-ordained reality and purpose of FAMILY is under incredible attack more than anything else! Yet, when we look at the Scriptures, it is the paramount covenant structure that God creates: Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness!” He goes on to say “it is not good for man to be alone" (levad in Hebrew), and I am convinced that the devil knows that truth oh so well and wants to destroy the God- breathed institution of family and we need say No to his schemes emphatically! Also, and this is so important for us to know, we in the body of Messiah, Jew and Gentile are real family, not just a bunch of individuals “doing” services together! This Shabbat May 1st, I will be continuing with the theme of becoming a habitation for the Holy One and knowing His times and purposes with a message entitled HERE COMES THE BRIDE! I know it is not real creative or even catchy or novel, but Abba wants us to understand who we are as the BRIDE of Messiah!

Following the morning service for those who want, we will be joining with others for an outreach at City Park in Denver! Jeremy Jacobs of Turn Ministries in Colorado Springs has a heart to reach the Jewish community in our area and it will be a great opportunity to meet some folks, share about Yeshua and dance for the glory of the Lord! We will be going out after the service, and all are invited! Here are some important upcoming events:

- SUNDAY MAY 2ND, 10AM-12NOON, MEN’S MEETING, HOME OF NATHAN BROWN: 13955 NIGHT OWL LANE, PARKER 80134

- THURSDAY MAY 6TH, 11AM-2PM NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER AT WEST STEPS OF THE STATE CAPITOL, DENVER

- SHABBAT AND SUNDAY MAY 15-16TH, THE RABBI’S SON BILL BULLOCK, OR CHAIM AND CASTLEWOOD CANYON CHURCH, GOLDEN AND FRANKTOWN

Millie and I want you to know that you are special to us and we are excited about the season we are now in as we endeavor together to “MOVE FORWARD” into His promises and purposes!

Blessings and Shalom!

Shabbat 4/24/2021

Shabbat Shalom!

We have been praying a lot for our Jewish people and Israel recently. Over the last 40+ years as a follower of Yeshua, we have had many conversations with our people about what they believe and why they believe what they do and why they don’t believe in certain things in the Scriptures. It comes down to a huge wall of unbelief in most cases, whether it is not believing in miracles such as the virgin birth of Messiah or the parting of the Red Sea or whatever it may be…it is a stumbling block! I think this is what Rav Shaul (Paul) was addressing in Romans 11 when he states, “…that a partial hardening has come upon Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in …”, but little by little I see more of an openness in my people! At Or Chaim (Light of Life) we are committed to see our people reached with the good news of Yeshua HaMashiach and we will continue to pray for them and share with them whenever we have an opportunity!

This Shabbat April 24th I will be sharing a message entitled SO WHAT IS HIS DIVINE PURPOSE? We can see if we choose to many things that God is doing in these days but I believe that one of the most important things He is doing is awakening a Bride worthy of His Son, who will whole-heartedly embrace His purposes even if it makes us uncomfortable in the mean time! It will require a kingdom world view, perseverance in prayer and endurance in walking in His ways.

Hope to see you all out on Shabbat, the weatherman is predicting sunny and warm temperatures and no snow! Some up coming events to be aware of:

- COLORADO MESSIANIC WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP, SUNDAY APRIL 25TH 2PM-5PM, THE DWELLING PLACE IN GOLDEN

- MEN’S MEETING, SUNDAY MAY 2nd 10AM-12:30PM, PLACE TO BE DETERMINED

- NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, THURSDAY MAY 6TH 11AM-2PM, STATE CAPITOL, DENVER

- THE RABBI’S SON, BILL BULLOCK, SHAVUOT WEEKEND GATHERING MAY 15TH-16TH, OR CHAIM AND CASTLEWOOD CANYON CHURCH

As you can see, there are many things coming up and they are all important! Spring is upon us, and just as in the days of the kings of Israel, it is a time to “go to war”, in the Spirit of course, so let’s move forward in the things of the Kingdom!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 4/17/2021

Shabbat Shalom!
What I love about living in Colorado is that you have such a variety of weather! Just a few days ago, we were enjoying 70 degree weather and last night and this morning we have about 8 inches of snow where we live! AS OF NOW, WE ARE STILL PLANNING ON HAVING SHABBAT SERVICE TOMORROW, APRIL 17TH! If conditions worsen we will try to communicate later tonight, either way, we want you to use wisdom in your driving.

I’m sure you have heard the statement “God loves you and has a plan for your life”, right? Well even though it sounds kind of like a corny cliche (an overused one at that!) it is still so very true. I will be sharing a message about the indispensable part we all play in His plans and how we are to engage in them. How many times do we have a really awesome vision or idea, and then ask God to bless our plan? Maybe we should discern His purposes and goals for planet earth and partner with Him to see His goal of ‘Tikkun Olam’ (restoration or repairing the world) come to pass! I don’t know about you, but I think being part of what God is doing will bring greater blessing and fulfillment than my puny ideas!

Some upcoming events at Or Chaim: The Colorado Messianic Women’s Fellowship quarterly meeting will be Sunday April 25th from 2-5pm at The Dwelling Place in Golden.
The National Day of Prayer will be at the State Capitol on Thursday May 6th from 11am-2pm. More information will be provided for this but we want to encourage all to participate in this important event!
The Rabbi’s Son, Bill Bullock will be with us at Or Chaim on May 15 and on the 16 we will continue as we join with Castlewood Canyon Church for a wonderful celebration of Shavuot! More information will be coming.
Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat April 10, 2021

Shalom Mishpacha!

The older I get, the more I think about an inescapable truth that all of us must bow to: Time marches on, it is inevitable in it’s effects on our bodies and our abilities, and God desires to use it to mold us into the image of Yeshua. If we approach time in a Biblical perspective, it is a slice of eternity that Father has gifted us with to partner with him for His eternal purposes. In other words, we can either dread the passage of time or redeem the time and be used by God to be part of bringing blessing and hope in an evil time! This Shabbat April 10th I will be continuing a message entitled GOD’S USE OF TIME IN OUR LIVES that will help us and encourage us to use the time we have have to make a difference for the kingdom! Come on up to the mountain, spend the day with family and let us exalt Yeshua as One New Man!

Some things to mark on your calendar: The Colorado Messianic Women’s Fellowship will be on Sunday April 25th at The Dwelling Place in Golden. This is a great opportunity for ladies to worship together and be challenged in the Word and of course enjoy fellowship and fun with other ladies. Also, on May 15th and 16th we will welcome The Rabbi’s Son, Bill Bullock for this Shavuot weekend. He will be with us on Shabbat for the morning service at 10:30am and an afternoon session. We are planning (weather permitting) for a picnic “Oneg” between sessions. On Sunday the 16th, we will gather at Castlewood Canyon Church, 389 N Castlewood Canyon Rd, Franktown at 10am. ALL ARE WELCOME TO THIS SPECIAL TIME AND THERE IS NO COST! We will take up a love offering for Bill. During our services.

This is a great TIME that Father has put us into His handiwork called Planet Earth! Even in the midst of outright insanity and a world in seemingly endless chaos, God will do what he does and His purposes will be fulfilled! Be Encouraged!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat April 3, 2021

Shabbat Shalom!

Last week we celebrated Passover and a wonderful time was had by all who attended the various Seders! Now we are in the Biblical time of the Counting of the Omer, leading up to Shavuot (Pentecost). This is not just a “religious thing” that has lost it’s meaning over the millennium, but a tangible working out of God’s calendar in anticipation of His great outpouring (Acts 2) , and even today it is a season of increased intercession, and crying out to Father for more of His presence and power! I don’t know about you, but Millie and I sense that we are not just going to ‘hear’ about what God is going to do, but we will actually see and experience His purposes being fulfilled! In the mean time, we press in, with ears that are in tune with His Spirit and hearts that are ready to embrace His presence and move forward.

This Shabbat April 3rd (do you believe we are in April already?), I Stew will be starting a series about God’s purposes in revival, and some of what this thing called revival really is, and some of what it is not. I am really excited about this. I had the privilege of being part of a revival at its beginning stages and I hunger for it right here where we live! This will be an important series of teachings and want to encourage all of you to come on out this Shabbat. The word “revival” is from the Hebrew word chayah and means “to bring back to life,” to “restore to consciousness,” or to “restore to a previous condition. As stated in the Bible, it means a restoration, rejuvenation, or renewal of interest after spiritual neglect, oblivion, or obscurity.

We usually have our Men’s meeting on the first Sunday of the month but since this Sunday is ‘Resurrection’ Sunday, we will cancel the meeting and will meet on May 2nd.

LADIES: THE NEXT QUARTERLY COLORADO MESSIANIC WOMENS FELLOWSHIP WILL BE SUNDAY, APRIL 25TH FROM 2PM-5PM AT “THE DWELLING PLACE” IN GOLDEN! THE ADDRESS IS: 16800 W 9TH, GOLDEN 80401. All women invited…invite a neighbor or friend and bring a snack! Worship, Fellowship, Dance and Encouragement!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Pesach “Passover” March 27, 2021

Shalom Mishpacha!

We are in the month of Nissan, the first month of the Hebrew calendar. It is the month of new beginnings, freedom and a time of remembrance. In Colorado we are enjoying fresh snow as this is the snowiest month of the year, but we also know that Spring is right around the corner. It is also the season of Pesach (Passover), when we celebrate God’s mighty deliverance of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt! WE WILL BE HAVING OUR MORNING SHABBAT SERVICE ON MARCH 27TH! I will share about this special mo’ed (appointed time), especially in light of the events of the last year. I sense in my spirit, that this will be a significant time for the body of Messiah and that we are to enter this festival in the same way the children of Israel did: “with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet and your staff in your hand.” In other words, ready to move out in the new things God is preparing to do!

On Erev Passover, Saturday evening March 27th we will be gathering in homes to celebrate our Seders. Many of you have already signed up to attend the different gatherings, but we still have room for a few more, however, you need to let us know as soon as possible! Here are the locations for our Seders:

* Russ and Siri Crider along with the Preussners; 22493 E Maplewood Ln., Aurora 80015 (720)469-0235

* David and Laura Aronstein; 7220 Box Canyon Road, Sedalia 80135 (316)200-5576

* Patricia DeLeon along with the Liebermans; 10578 Ouray St, Commerce City 80022 (720)431-2387

If you want to attend, please call the hosts and let them know how many will be attending so we will know how much food to prepare. This will be a wonderful and festive time as we celebrate freedom in our Yeshua, the Passover Lamb!

We so look forward to seeing all on Shabbat as it will be our only time to celebrate Passover “all together”! This is a time for our community to meet together, for as you may remember, last year we were “forbidden” to gather together for fear that we would all get covid and die! That may be a bit overstated (not really!), but we do sense that in this new season we are to lift up Yeshua in our midst, and celebrate our life in Him!

Shalom and Chag Sameach!

Shabbat 3/20/2021

Shalom Family!

All last week, we were hearing about the massive snow storm that was approaching our area, my initial ‘feeling’ was this is over-hype, based on my experience with media and experts over the last year! However, on Saturday morning it arrived and as we all experienced that it lived up to the hype. We were finally able to ‘dig out’ on Monday morning on the mountain and realize once again that these old bodies are not suited very well with digging out from a couple of feet of wet, heavy snow! But we all survived and I don’t know about you, I missed our Shabbat service and am so looking forward to this Shabbat, March 20th!

Father has been speaking to me and many others about the need for all of us to re-connect with Him in the “secret place” of intense and passionate intercessory prayer. My message is BUILD MY HOUSE OF PRAYER! The season we are in where government institutions, educational systems, science and technology and even our families and Congregations have failed to meet the challenges we are facing, the only answer is the ancient path of falling on our knees and crying out to God! He is saying RETURN TO ME AND MY WAYS, and we instinctively know that He is calling us all to be that House of prayer. To be this House does not require government permit and approval or even a building to meet in! Come on out this Shabbat and let’s worship Yeshua together!

Passover is coming up on Saturday evening March 27th! This year we are meeting in homes to enjoy smaller more intimate settings. Actually that is reminiscent of the first passover when the Israelites were commanded to gather in ‘households’ on the 14th day Nissan and eat the meal “with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet and your staff in your hand”. In other words, knowing that the blood of the Lamb has been applied to the “doorposts of our hearts”, we are to be ready to move out at His command! He is preparing His Bride and celebrating the passover is a huge part of this preparation! We have three ‘households' within Or Chaim that are hosting Seders:

*The Criders' and the Preussners' will be hosting at Russ and Siri’s home; 22493 E Maplewood Ln, Aurora 80015 (720) 469-0234

*David and Laura Aronstein will be hosting at their home; 7220 Box Canyon Rd, Sedalia 80135 (316) 200-5576

*Patricia DeLeon along with he Liebermans’ will be hosting at Patricia’s home; 10578 Ouray St, Commerce City 80022 (720) 431-2387

WE WANT TO ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR PASSOVER SEDERS! IF YOU HAVE'NT ALREADY, PLEASE CONTACT THE HOST AND LET THEM KNOW THAT YOU WILL ATTEND AND HOW MANY WILL BE IN YOUR PARTY. WE ARE ORDERING THE LAMB AND CHICKEN, AND NEED TO KNOW EXACT NUMBERS BEFORE TUESDAY, MARCH 23RD! THERE IS NO COST FOR THIS SPECIAL EVENING!

Also, please keep Millie and I, Julie Immer, Elizabeth Lewis and Diane Williams in your prayer as we prepare to go to Nairobi, Kenya from April 3-16 to minister during “HIS HAND FOR AFRICA” leadership conference! We have linked with these precious folks over the last few years and are excited to be with them again!

Shalom and Blessings!

Shabbat March 6, 2021

Shabbat Shalom!

Well, the year is “Marching” on! Millie and I sense that as we turn the corner into Spring, “…the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land” (Song of Songs 2:11-12), many of us will experience a freshness in our lives once again! It’s not just the warmer and longer days (in fact it’s snowing outside right now!), it is that we are coming into the Passover season where we remember the Lord’d mighty hand of deliverance from slavery and His covenant of love to us. God Himself says the month of Passover is to “mark the beginning of months”, so I will take Him at His word that never changes that we can expect new and good things to happen in our lives. It is not automatic where we just go into “cruise control” and let things happen but a time to seize God’s promises for us by living the life that pleases Him and believing with everything we have in us that HE WILL DO EVERYTHING HE SAYS HE WILL DO!

This Shabbat March 6th, I, Stew, will share the second part of a message entitled DO WE REALLY KNOW THAT THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD of THE LAMB OF GOD? Sometimes we use terms and spout concepts and theology without looking at what the Word of God really says. When we study His Name, His Word and His Blood do we really understand the authority that is contained in these? If we did, I propose that the world we live in today would look much different than it does! We will also be celebrating the Table of Messiah (Communion) this Shabbat and will be enjoying wonderful worship and praise to our King! On Sunday March 7th the men will be gathering at Lee Cooperman’s home for our monthly Men’s group at 10am. His address is: 12184 Triple Crown Dr. Parker, 80134. All men are welcome to this special time!

As we prepare for Passover this year, we will be meeting in more intimate settings in homes on Saturday evening March 27th. So far we have three locations for Seders in different parts of the metro area.

* Russ and Siri Crider and the Preussner’s will be hosting one at the Criders’ home in the South/ Southeast part of he city

* David and Laura Aronstein will host a Seder in the Southwest part of the metro area

* Patricia DeLeon will be hosting a Seder with our assistance at her house in the Northeast section (Reunion) of the metro area.

We want EVERYONE to participate in a Passover Seder! Please contact one of us directly and we will make sure you are provided with all the details and directions. This will be a great time for the whole family as we tell the story of the Passover and enjoy a wonderful meal together and celebrate Israel’s (and ours!) deliverance!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Purim Shabbat 2/27/2021

PURIM AND SHABBAT SHALOM!!

Shalom Mishpacha!

This is a very important week not just historically, but also as we press into breakthrough for our nation as well as for the Jewish people. Thursday evening February 25th marks the beginning of Purim, the story in the Book of Esther that tells of the deliverance of the Jewish people from the evil Haman and from certain extermination! Such a powerful and beautiful drama depicting His covenant love for His people and the acts of a beautiful queen, her bold and faith-filled relative who made a stand for justice and righteousness in the face of certain destruction! We are also reminded that in these days we can cry out to The King of the whole earth to see His hand move in our day! We are in a 3 day fast where we are praying for breakthrough in our families and in our nation, and also that the eyes of the Jewish people would be open to their Jewish Messiah. I believe that Father wants to rise up as prayer warriors and seize the initiative in seeing His purposes advanced in our families, nation and among our people! We will be gathering at Patricia’s home; 10578 Ouray St. Commerce City, 80022 at 6:30pm. Please RSVP to Patricia at (720)431-2387, and since it is Purim it’s OK to dress up as your favorite Bible hero or villain!

This Shabbat February 27th we will have a wonderful service with a “patriotic” theme, so wear your ‘cammo’ or patriotic gear and be ready to do battle in the heavenly places! Our Messianic dance team do a special dance to lead us into battle. The Lord has given me a message on DO WE REALLY KNOW THAT THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD? This will be a very important message on how to stand and advance in these evil days, and also how to really understand our relationship to the power of sin!

UPCOMING EVENTS: Men’s group, Sunday March 7th at 10am at Lee Cooperman’s home; 12184 Triple Crown Dr. Parker, 80134.

Passover 2021 will be in homes this year! If you are interested in hosting, leading or participating in a Seder, please contact leadership was soon as possible!

Shalom and Blessings,

Stewart and Millie

Shabbat 2/20/2021

Shabbat Shalom!

We had about six inches of snow last night, which has turned into a beautiful landscape on the mountain today with the sun shining! So much of the nation has been caught in a deep freeze, even in places that don’t normally have severe weather, but it’s winter not “climate change”, so keep them in prayer! We are coming up on the Biblical feast of Purim beginning on Thursday evening February 25th. To celebrate this special time, we will have a Purim party at the home of Patricia DeLeon on Thursday at 6:30pm. Her address is: 10578 Our St., Commerce City 80022. Because this is a special time as we recite the Megillah (Book of Esther), we want to encourage you to dress up as your favorite (or not so favorite!) Bible character. It is a wonderful celebration as we remember how God delivered His people from certain extermination at the hands of Haman and the Persians. It is also a call to us for fasting and prayer for the Jewish people beforehand, especially as we see the rise of anti-semitism, here and abroad. Bring a favorite snack or food dish as a meat tray will be provided as well as ‘Hamantashen”! Please RSVP by text to Patricia at (720)431-2387.

This Shabbat February 20th, I will bring a timely message on the SPIRIT AND POWER OF ELIJAH!The days of this incredible prophet were not so different as the days we are living in today. Israel had turned to idolatry and the evil King Ahab and his wife Jezebel were introducing every kind of abominable practice, including killing babies at the altar of Baal! A man, full of the Ruach HaKodesh spoke truth to power and a nation was turned back to God. I will be sharing about Spiritual “Fathers” and how this is a time to heed the Word, and also the words spoken from men of God who are no longer with us, warning of the days we are living in today. This is not a day to shrink back in fear and helplessness but a time to boldly declare the Word in the power and spirit of Elijah! We will be entering into a fast starting on Monday for those who able, and I would like to share some points to intercede about:

* As Purim nears, pray that the Jewish people will turn to the Messiah for their salvation!

* For breakthrough and deliverance for our families and that restoration would occur!

* To continue to pray that this nation would turn from evil and back to God and His Word!

Be encouraged in this time of cleansing, because Father’s desire is to impart His glory in our midst and that true revival would come to our land!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat Feb 6, 2021

Shalom Mishpacha,
Recently I heard a local pastor and a respected prophet (please don’t stone me, yes I believe there are prophets) say “we need a healthy fear of the Lord to overcome an unhealthy fear that we see in the world”. As we forge ahead into the uncharted waters of this exciting and challenging year, our eyes are firmly fixed on what our Heavenly Father desires and what He planned for us at the foundation of the world. A healthy reverence and fear of God that desires intimacy and friendship with us and yet is also a Sovereign King who judges the whole earth and calls us to holiness, is required of us in these days! He is not a “buddy” that will condone our every whim and sin, and wink at our silliness and shallowness as we continue to misunderstand what Grace really is. He is too in love with us and cares about us too much to allow us to go as it was before, He is calling us back to Him, to resemble Yeshua more than we did yesterday, and rid ourselves of anything that hinders our walk of holiness!

Exciting things are happening at Or Chaim in the next weeks! This Shabbat, February 6th we will have a OC family time as we discuss some important and practical things as we move forward into the new year. We will have a time of worship, and I sense that Father will speak to and through us in wonderful ways! Also, we will celebrate Yeshua’s Table (Communion) as we want to consecrate ourselves to the Lord for the days ahead. Saturday evening we will have a special Havdalah at the Westendorf’s farm as we celebrate Tom and Mary’s 50th anniversary! This will be a fun time as we bless Tom and Mary and close out the Shabbat. It will be a Mexican potluck so it is important to RSVP to them as soon as possible! This Sunday, February 7th, the men will gather at Lee Cooperman’s house at 10am for our monthly men’s group where we encourage one another and help each other become more like Yeshua!

Next Shabbat, February 13th during our morning service we will welcome Joel Richardson, New York Times bestselling author and a recognized expert on Biblical prophesy and the Middle East, to Or Chaim! We had scheduled him December but had to cancel so come on out and invite others to hear this dynamic teacher. With all that is happening in these days, we need to see how things are lining up in that part of the world so we can pray with understanding and effectiveness. We will take a love offering for Joel and all are welcome.

Friends we need not be in fear or walk around with our heads bowed down in fear, YESHUA IS FAITHFUL AND GOD WILL DO WHAT HE SAID HE IS GOING TO DO!
Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat Jan 30, 2021

Shabbat Shalom!
Well, one month is written in the records of heaven and the journey of our lives and 11 more to go in 2021! We are ‘moving forward’ into this year knowing that the things that Father has for us are all good and that He has promised a great harvest if we remain faithful and confident in His purposes! Last week the men of Or Chaim had a wonderful ‘Advance’ in the Black Forrest with the theme of “HEARTS AWAKENED”, and we were all encouraged to be generational curse breakers in our families and ministry. Ladies this Sunday the Colorado Messianic Women’s Fellowship will be having their 2021 kickoff meeting from 1-4 pm at the Dwelling Place in Golden. See the attached brochure. Afterwards you can browse the Judaica Bible Bookstore. Karuna will lead worship and a inspiring message will encourage you.

This Shabbat, January 30th we will continue to explore how we move forward in boldness and hope, by truly leaving the things of the past behind in the dust! I will bring a message about the need for REPENTANCE, RECONCILIATION, and RESTORATION as we learn how to maneuver and to be victorious in a world that is becoming increasingly hostile to us as kingdom believers. The presence of GOD is powerful in our services on the mountain, so come on out and join us!

Mark your calendars for Saturday February 6th at 5:30pm as we gather at the Westendorf’s farm for a special Havdalah. It is their 50th wedding anniversary and they have invited all of us to party with them! It will be a Mexican food pot-luck, so please RSVP to Tom and Mary and let them know that you are coming! All are welcome as we close out the Shabbat!

Many other things are happening at Or Chaim Congregation, so get involved and let’s see His Kingdom advance in our region, in Israel and in the nations!
Blessings and Shabbat Shalom,
Stewart and Millie

Shabbat January 23, 2021

Shabbat Shalom!
I woke up this morning with this scripture on my heart: “So pay close attention to how you walk — not as unwise people but as wise. Make the most of your time because the days are evil. For this reason do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is”. Rav Shaul penned these words (Eph. 5:15-17) during a time not so different than today. Oppressive emperors were persecuting the believers horribly, with Shaul himself writing this letter from a prison cell! This is a time to re-focus and set our eyes on what is happening in heaven and proclaim it to come to pass in the earth! The wisdom of heaven, understanding Father’s will, and redeeming the time are keys to walking in these tumultuous day.

This Shabbat, January 23rd, will be a special service as our ladies of Or Chaim will join Elder Russ in the many aspects of the service! Many of our men including me will be at the Men’s Advance in the Black Forrest, but the sounds of worship and praise will be heard from the mountain, and it will be an awesome time! Mary Westendorf will bring the message that God has put on her heart. I have a feeling that the very presence of God will invade Lookout Mountain so come on out and be part of this special time.

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat 1/16/2021 Happy 5th Or Chaim!

Shabbat Shalom Mishpacha and Happy 5th Birthday to our Congregation! Five is the number for GRACE!
As Millie and I wrap up our vacation in Florida and prepare to return to Colorado, we just want to take some time to greet you and exhort you IN THE LORD! Just since we have been gone, we have seen a nation being ripped apart even more (if that was even possible!) and many “narratives” floating around that have brought lack of peace, more fear, and certainly more division. I read a scripture from Romans 12 this morning that very much encouraged me during these troubling times; “Do not be lagging in zeal; be fervent in spirit. KEEP SERVING THE LORD, REJOICING IN HOPE, ENDURING IN DISTRESS, PERSISTING IN PRAYER ... BLESSING THOSE WHO PERSECUTE YOU — BLESS AND DO NOT CURSE.” I have been sharing about “Moving (forging) Forward” in this new year, and this exhortation from Rav Shaul is a key for us to do just that!

Millie and I look forward to seeing you all this Shabbat, January 16th. We are refreshed (sort of) and looking forward to this new season pressing into God’s covenant purposes for all of us. As a community, we hope to inspire and see Kingdom growth in our personal lives. We also believe that this will be a year of harvest, of souls coming into the kingdom and also of many visions and promises coming to fruition!

Men, it’s not too late to sign up for our Men’s Advance on January 22-23 (Friday and Saturday)! The cost is $130 and it will be held at the beautiful Hideaway Retreat Center in the Black Hills north of Colorado Springs. It will be a time of refreshing and restoration, so come on out and join us!

Finally, as your Senior Congregational Leaders we want to encourage you to seek His Face and His Presence and His Shalom AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT, BECAUSE IT DOES! We have no guarantees that things will get easier, in fact, no one does but our God is more than able to walk us through anything we might encounter!
Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!
